We were so grateful to Ubud Hills Villas & Resort for accommodating us at very short notice when we were unhappy with our previous stay in Ubud. With just one day’s notice, they arranged a beautiful deluxe villa with a private pool at the top of the resort. The villa itself was stunning, with elevated views that were absolutely worth the many steps to get there. The resort is set on a steep, narrow road downhill, so it may not suit those with mobility challenges, but for us it was the perfect hideaway. The sound of the waterfall beside the resort was all we could hear from our villa—so peaceful and serene, far removed from the bustle. The staff were wonderful throughout our stay, and a special thanks to Dian, our concierge, who made everything effortless. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil escape in Ubud.

We were here for our anniversary and they treat us like royals. From the minute we arrived in the parking (there is a small hill to walk from the parking to the front desk since is located in a valley) we were greed by 2 people who took care of our luggage and brought us to the reception, give us refreshments and provide our stay info. The room was amazing! Exactly as described, super clean and thy even prepare our bed for the anniversary. We stayed there for 5 nights, enjoyed the floating breakfast, massage and everything was amazing. Yes, it’s a small walk up to the parking but trust me it’s all worthy

I would like to highly recommend this hotel. The facilities and rooms are the most beautiful there is. The service offered by the staff is first class, always very attentive. We had the pleasure of being served by Putu, Wahyu, Dian and Ayu. They are very helpful people, the food at the restaurant was delicious, as well as their support in giving my wife a surprise on her birthday and for our honeymoon. Thank you for everything, your friends Jorge and Naysin from Mexico.

Wouldn’t recommend. A breakdown of our experience: The positives: - the staff are SUPER lovely. - the bathroom is large - they offer scooter hire at the villa - it’s in the middle of the jungle and the views are beautiful. The negatives: - The driveway is SUPER steep. This means drivers were reluctant to drive down to pick us up from the car park and would often cancel. Not ideal when trying to get places at certain times. - The rooms don’t look like advertised. We were expecting a pool access off the bedroom with chairs to sit on around the pool etc. We were provided a room which the pool was outside near the entrance to villa which was small and pokey, with no seating outside at the pool AT ALL. - Breakfast was very disappointing and would recommend dining elsewhere, not available for in room service, must dine at the restaurant (a room with 5 tables). - The rooms are quite old and outdated, with a very strong musky smell to the sheets and towels. The rooms could do with some updating. Overall, we didn’t enjoy our stay here. We even contemplating cutting our losses and booking elsewhere in Ubud (which we now wished we did). Not an inviting place to stay and wouldn’t recommend to other travellers.

We had a terrible experience. We arrived on New Years Eve to discover there is no bar here. That was not advertised anywhere. Our private villa with pool was not private at all. The footpath runs along the pool so anyone can walk past and see and hear everything. You could even see inside the bathroom from this footpath. We were told we had to pre-book our meals the day before. And I was recovering from an injury and wasn't told there are hundreds of steps you need to navigate to get everywhere in this property. Which set my recovery back by days.We were so disappointed we had to leave and book somewhere far better nearby that we normally stay at. The manager told us they would organise a refund for us but then after we applied for it when we got home they refused. We are regular visitors to the area and only stayed here as we like to spread our custom around to different properties. But, we would never choose to stay here again or ever recommend it. There are lots of more fabulous properties with better facilities nearby that you should try.

I absolutely looove this resort! My friend and I got the villa with private pool which was STUNNING. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom comes with a huge bath with an amazing view of the jungle! It’s very quiet and peaceful but not far from the main attractions of Ubud with shuttles and taxis available whenever we needed. The staff are 10/10, very helpful and friendly, one of them even helped us learn how to ride scooters! We also got the most amazing massage and facial at the spa, definitely the best massage we’ve had here in Bali. Will definitely be back!!!

Great!
This place is amazing! the food is delicious with meat and vegetarian options. The privacy is superb with private pools available and the rooms are huge, clean, and modern. It's down and up a couple of long hills that are a bit of a trek if you are walking but no big deal really and worth the effort.

This place was a serious disappointment. We arrived in the early morning hours after the typical nearly 24 hour travel day to a room filled with black mold and reeking of cleaning products in the main sleeping area and septic tank smell in the bathroom. We had to get a few hours of sleep out of necessity and then move on to a new hotel. There's so many great places to stay in Ubud... I do not recommend this one.
The location is beautiful from what I saw & the staff was friendly... but the room condition was absolutely unacceptable.
