We stayed in the Superior Suite at Hotel Meditasi and it was truly unforgettable. • The room was spacious, bright, and beautifully designed, with breathtaking views of both the sea and the mountains. • A large refrigerator was pre-stocked, and a water kettle there for tea, coffee, or simply hot water. • The bathroom featured a huge shower with hot water, plus plenty of towels—both beach and shower for us. • The huge balcony was great to relax on, with a comfortable lounge bed and dining table, we ate there every night (food was brought to us by Made!). • Air conditioning worked well, and there was enough storage space (lockable!). What set this stay apart was the exceptional service. Mate, the host, went above and beyond. When he noticed my shoes were breaking, he bought glue and repaired them himself—refusing any reimbursement. His kindness and attention to detail are rare to find. He also speaks excellent English, which made communication super easy. The hotel’s location is ideal: you can snorkel right in front of the property, with gear available to borrow. The suite was well maintained, and the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves felt like our own personal “wave therapy.” In short: this hotel, and especially the Superior Suite, was worth every cent and more. A true hidden gem in Amed—we couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
