A really fantastic stay and the staff very friendly and helpful. Beds are rock hard and the room is not darkened properly. Those were the only areas for improvement in my experience. Definitely recommended!

The hotel was so pretty and the food was delicious! It's a little out of the way, but it's quiet, and it was nice to be able to use the free shuttle service several times!

The location of the hotel is north of Ubud in the middle of the Urwald and Reisfeld. Excellent location and super friendly staff. A great refuge for a few days

We stayed in villa 1. The accommodation was fantastic with large private yard, outdoor living room, and private pool. It feels like a private home inside the property. We arranged to have hotel pickup from Denpasar airport with their private shuttle for $45. The following day, we booked a half day private shuttle to go to Pengliburan, waterfall, coffee plantation and rice terrace. Both days, our driver was Yantika, a nice young man with an infectious laugh. Breakfast at Jungle Fish was very nice with a fantastic view. We did complementary yoga in the morning at 7am. The lady instructor was warm, welcoming and helpful. Chapung Sepali was absolutely beautiful and well manicured. However, the resort’s best feature maybe its staffs. The front desk, drivers, attendant and restaurant staffs, they are all gracious, helpful and lovely. We highly recommend and will definitely return.

Everything at Chapung Sebali was perfect! The service is one of a kind and the food is from another world. The location is quiet but within a walking distance (45 min) from Ubud. Our favorite part of the stay was a 3 hour bicycle trip down the hills - arranged by hotel with a local guy named Madi.

My spouse and I spent 2 nights at this incredible resort and regret not having spent more time there. The service, spa, natural environments, food, and accommodations were exceptional. We can't recommend this resort more highly. We found it to be relaxing, private, and romantic.

Beautiful resort set in the jungle - we stayed in a one bedroom villa but hardly used the villa pool (slightly cold in March) but enjoyed the perks of booking directly with them - cocktails and tapas, high tea, an amazing breakfast spread etc. More than the eclectic danish-Balinese architecture, the gorgeous jungle pool, GREAT food at jungle fish/upper deck… the service is impeccable: warm, responsive, anticipates guests needs; nothing was too troublesome for the team. We had a wonderful massage in the spa as well, and they arranged a half hour for my 9 year old who was thoroughly spoilt by the experience. If anything, I would suggest that such a top notch service team and front of house/guest relations really should be better matched by areas outside of their control. The bathroom towels (green) are non absorbent and we ended up using the pool towels - do consider replacing them as this probably has been mentioned by a few reviews. Beyond control of the team, the bathroom shower area floods easily (but this is minor) and is probably more style and form over function. some of the furniture probably needs a little more care (tangled blinds etc) and my hairdryer was spoilt (replaced by a very weak one). For the quality of everything at Chapung, this really could be better looked into, a few minor tweaks would make this perfect. Hope this is taken in good form! That said, we will be coming back hopefully sooner than later, looking forward to it already.
