The Grand Villandra Resort Lovina

Wouldn't really recommend it. The hygiene wasn't good, and the hot water for the shower ran out in less than five minutes. The breakfast selection was also extremely limited. The only upside was the convenient dolphin watching, as the pier is right on the hotel's beach.

The hotel didn't have enough hot water, so we couldn't take a bath. We called the front desk several times to look into it, and they ended up blaming us, saying it was because we used the bathtub for a bath! We switched rooms, and it was the same issue there too! Seriously, if you can't take a bath, why put a big bathtub in the room? If bathing isn't allowed, please inform guests beforehand! My child even caught a cold and fever after swimming because there wasn't enough hot water for a shower! Those who need to take hot baths should definitely think twice about staying here! Also, there are a lot of insects and millipedes outdoors, so families with children should be aware of that.

Service: The staff were friendly and responsive. Hygiene: I stayed on the second floor, and the room was clean and tidy. Aside from a few small ants in the bathroom, I didn't see any other creatures in the room, so it felt quite safe. There weren't many mosquitoes or bugs either. Environment: The hotel is right by the beach, which was super convenient for dolphin watching. The hotel itself has a very appealing style. Facilities: The sink drained slowly. After coming back from dolphin watching, there was no water for the shower, but it was quickly resolved after I reported it. I booked two rooms, and they arranged them according to the special requests I noted in the booking. It was great value for money. Breakfast was just okay, not much variety. Overall, I'd recommend staying here if you're planning on dolphin watching.

The room was very spacious. There's a shuttle bus, and the hotel is right by the sea. You can book dolphin-watching tours directly from the hotel. Breakfast is served by the ocean, so you can enjoy your meal with a beautiful sea view – it was really comfortable and I'm very satisfied.

## Review **Hygiene:** As someone with an occupational 'hotel disease,' I found the hygiene to be excellent. So much so that it was the first time I willingly took a shower in Bali! **Environment:** This is a very comfortable beachfront hotel, with the restaurant connecting directly to the black sand beach. Being in the tropics and by the sea, it's inevitable to encounter mosquitoes and spiders in the rooms/bathrooms, so it's a good idea to prepare for mosquito control beforehand. **Service:** A small detail that really stood out was how the staff removed their shoes when helping with luggage. This was a big plus. Since our room required a buggy service, they were all very patient and responded quickly. We only stayed one night for a dolphin-watching trip, but if I visit Lovina again, I'd definitely be willing to stay a few more nights. The hotel offers great facilities like billiards, table tennis, a gym, and a swimming pool. Just sitting on the hotel's swing, watching the sunset and listening to the waves, was incredibly therapeutic. The evening bar also had a great atmosphere, and the breakfast selection was rich and filling. However, the sound of motorcycles at night, I'm not sure where they came from, was a bit disruptive to sleep. I don't usually write reviews easily, but I hope this helps anyone looking for accommodation.
