InterContinental Bali Resort, an IHG Hotel Reviews

Brilliant stay at the intercontinental. The location is great, close to the airport, some little shops outside, and great fish restaurants on the beach outside the hotel. The breakfast was excellent. Pool was gorgeous and the beach towels were lovely. The staff were wonderful with the children. Pool restaurant food was great but could use a few more options. One thing to note is that the beach was really dirty but that’s a factor of Bali beaches not the intercontinental.

Amazing hotel, great facilities, top level hospitality and affordable

Arriving at the hotel I immediately smelled the mould. The hotel is beautiful but smells. We were kindly received at the door, they picked up our luggage, and served us a welcome drink while we did the check in. I started to sneeze and my nose clogged so I explained I was allergic to dust and I would like a room with more sunlight and wind. When we entered the room the musty smell was unbearable. I immediately complained and they promptly found another room without carpets. I believe it was an upgrade. They also sent us an apology card with fruits and chocolates. Unfortunately, the new room was still smelly, not as smelly as the first one, but we accepted as we were super tired and didn’t want to wait any longer. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: Shower pressure was fantastic Breakfast was great, they had options like avocado toast, salmon bagel, burritos, and a variety of international options Bed was comfortable Swimming pool Temperature was perfect and the bar very convenient with great drinks Beach is clean and not crowded Sunset is beautiful The restaurants had a good environment and good food. A bit pricey, but overall worth it. Cons: Mould. This is actually the only reason I wouldn’t go back to this hotel. The smell is in the room and the entrance mainly. The rest of the areas are okay. This hotel was built in 1993, so I have to say that if it wasn’t for that, the hotel would be in amazing condition. Service by the pool was very slow, my husband tried to get a beer first thing when he arrived and only after calling the waiter twice they brought him the beer, but it was room temperature! 😞 Coconut water and beer were not cold, they actually offered ice, but it just made it watery and tasteless. Bike rental can only be used inside the hotel, and they don’t tell you that when you rent it. I tried to go out to cycle in the surrounding area and they didn’t allow me to go. After complaining, the charged me half price for the rent. I only used inside the hotel and at the beach in front of the hotel. Concierge service was very slow and inefficient. He didn’t have packages to offer, photos, or videos. Everything was searched on Google right in front of us. The only option given was a private driver that could take us anywhere we wanted to go. The problem is that we didn’t know the places, so we were expecting a better introduction to the island and the activities. We ended up doing our own research and hiring the driver. Transfer from hotel to airport costs 430,000 RP, but if you get a grab (similar to Uber/Didi) it will cost you less than 80,000 RP. Overall, the hotel is a good option if you can tolerate the smell. That’s the only reason I wouldn’t recommend it. Otherwise it was a great stay for the price.

Really good experience in my 3days trip. I propose to my girlfriend in the Jimbaran Garden. It's is a beautiful experience. Thanks Noor for helping aligning for the whloe team Suta and Surya help me a lot for provding the surprise to my girlfriend. They help prepare the decoration, help hiding the flower and help filming our wonderful moments. I got a really great experience in this trip:)

Hotel has a great view of sunset. Pool is also great place to relax. I want to come back here again when we visit Bali next time.

 it is a beautiful hotel with the beach access and the breakfast options were amazing.  and it’s a massive resort, so you will find yourself walking around a lot if you’re not a big fan of that, but overall the service was good and the food was above average.  they clean your room twice a day which is great and none of the hotel rooms offer Oceanview only a side of view. I was satisfied overall.

The beachfront area was cluttered with a significant amount of plastic waste, making it unsightly and detracting from the overall beach experience. Other than that, the hotel is nice.

Stay for 3 nights here - Its a huge resort, in front of Jimbaran beach; it location is good too, close to shops and good eating places - however, bit disappointed with their services; check in, waiting for approx 20 mins and no one direct us nor help, for this calibre of resort, we expected more, for sure. Moreover, the reservation lady told us that she will “help” us with the membership but till our checkout time, no one follow it up with us🤔; breakfast was good, many foods options; their servers are friendly but their foods stations staff were not - no smile, no “how are you” nor any basic greetings, definitely need to be improved.

I and my friends celebrated my birthday at the hotel. They upgraded my room to a better one. I complained to the staff about the increased humidity and they promptly installed a special device that normalized the humidity in the room and made it very comfortable. amazing service. I am delighted. I highly recommend this hotel Breakfast and food in general in the hotel restaurants are good. there is also a tennis court and it is very good for a stay at the hotel for a few days

Very good overall. Rooms slightly outdated but fine. Amenities, pool/spa/sauna/gym all fantastic. Food/restaurants and mini bar good but very expensive (like Aud$9 for a coke after tax). But that’s 5 stars for you. Staff very friendly and attentive

The crews are nice and kind but the ventilation system isn’t good. It causes the bedding is so wet.
