The Stone House B&B

My Mum and I had a two night stay in the Stone House B& B in Baltimore at the end of July this year. (2024). Rianne was a wonderful host, very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. She gave us a pamphlet on the local area and gave us loads of information on what to do in Baltimore and where to eat. The room was spotless with a homemade treat on arrival. The shower in the ensuite was superb. Her breakfast was also superb, with beautiful fresh homemade bread, homemade jams and yogurt. Her pancakes were also delicious. More than enough food to set you up for the day. I would highly recommend the Stone House B&B. It is in a great location and I would definitely stay there again. Richard and Monica. Ireland

The best B&B on the planet (insofar I saw). The property is super clean, rooms comfortable and warm. Rianne, the host, is very welcoming and knows a lot about Baltimore. Breakfast was more we could eat. Highly, highly, vary highly recommended :).

Great welcome from Rianne on our arrival for a one-night stay only. The room was very comfortable and the bed gave us a great night's sleep. Very quiet as well. The home made cake with a cuppa on arrival was very nice. Unfortunately, our linked Aquaventures dolphin watching trip had to be cancelled due to safety concerns (poor weather), but we received a prompt & full GBP refund (not in Euros, so as to avoid a second lot of conversion fees - Thanks Rianne & Jerry!). A full and tasty cooked breakfast set us up for the next days' travels around the WAW. Thank you also for the eatery recommendations in Baltimore - Jacob's Bar was better than described on service & wholesome food. We will definitely stay again, if in the area ,and we have recommended it to our friends.

We had a two night stay in The Stone House Baltimore Ireland. Comfortable rooms, with the bonus of a electric jug and tea and coffee making facilities. Small and cosy, with the most amazing host in Reine who cooked us cake for our arrival and also for the next afternoon tea. Breakfast was soo good and all freshly made, homemade breads and jams, and lots of options, freshly brewed coffee and/or pots of tea. It is an easy walk to the harbour and the pubs. If it had been a nicer day we could have had a swim at one of the many swimming spots around. Lovely walking tracks to fill your day.

We booked the Stone House as our base for the Baltimore deep sea angling competition and we struck gold. I have to say I’m a little conflicted writing this as it’ll make it harder to get a booking but credit where credit’s due. The owners make you so welcome and the breakfast is to die for. Two or three different types of bread baked before breakfast every day sets the scene as you wake up to the wonderful aroma. Fresh orange, grilled smoked bacon, eggs, cereal, yoghurt, home made jams and that bread you just couldn’t stop eating. Oh, and daily fresh made cakes or brownies which were outstanding. Gluten free? No problem. Rianne seriously knows how to bake. The bedroom for us was perfect, spotlessly clean and a real cracking shower that I’d love in my own home - perfect after a day’s fishing. Would I return? 100% I would! This is the first place I’ll be looking up when I next stay in Baltimore. Many thanks. P.S. I’d still love the recipe for your bread!

'They' say nothing in life is perfect and that might essentially be true but if so, 'The Stone House B&B' has to be the next best thing. If you're expecting breakfast to be a self service buffet you'll be mistaken. The meal that sets you up for the day will be tailor made and agreed but you can also avail of that self service buffet. The woman of the house or the 'Bean an Ti' goes by the name of Rianne and she'll gladly give you tips on what to do to make your stay even better than you planned. Sh'ell also cater to ceoliacs and others with special dietary need. In short. she's brilliant but also married. We'll deffo be back.
