Reviews of Lord Baltimore Hotel

All employees were kind and helpful, even upgraded us to a corner king room on their own accord! I picked this hotel because it was in the center of everything we wanted to do on the rainy weekend we came out, it being a historic hotel was a nice bonus. Lobby was elegant with a bar and attached restaurant, room was clean. Only down side is the shower head being on the shorter side for my 6'2" fiance but he managed just fine. Valet is $50/night but I'll take knowing my car is safe and can use it whenever. Would absolutely stay again whenever we come back out to visit!

The first night there we went to the restaurant area to order dinner after a 7 hour drive, we just wanted a meal and to relax. The older gentleman working the restaurant told us we aren’t with the other events we gotta wait, the said “ what do you want kitchen closing anyway” that was so rude and embarrassing. We are a middle aged black couple and we were singled out in a group of white adults and it felt horrible. We spoke to someone at the desk who gave us a card Never addressed the issue. When arriving to room we noticed as taking a shower the tub is building up nothing but your own dirt while trying to shower and sink draining slow as ever. The next morning we were awakened about 6:13am to someone standing in the hall smoking ********* it was so strong. We also were charged 75.00 a night for hold fee which was incorrect and never fixed. We asked for a manager but every time we did none were available. We have stayed here several times before but this times was so stressful and outrageous we will never return. And the family that also checked in the same night agree as well this is not a business we will patron again.

Location in downtown Baltimore was excellent, a block from the Convention Center, across the street from a subway station and 2 blocks from a light rail station - subway runs east-west ( including the Inner Harbor) and light rail runs north-south for over 40 miles with 1/2 hour direct connection to/from the BWI Airport. - one way tickets on both are $2.  My corner room on the 9th floor was spacious with good views. I had business all afternoon in the area with no car - when I asked if I could check my luggage 4 hours before check-in time, they actually checked me in then and there and gave me my room key at noon.  The lobby is elegant and the the room rate was very reasonable for a downtown location hotel.

Horrible experience. They gave our room to the military and said they were prioritizing them. I ended up sleeping in the bed with a co worker

The hotel is quite close to the Baltimore Convention Center. The room was very clean and tidy.

Great service, room was nice, a bit dated but still nice. Would stay here again without a second thought

Our room was spacious, the ceiling had dampness from leaking of a/c. The bathroom toilet was clogged upon arrival which they promptly unclogged. The sink did not drain properly. The carpet was full of dust along the edges. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the linen and towels were clean . The tile and tub in the bathroom were very worn  tiles cracked which made the bathroom look dingy . They had coffee maker, fridge iron ironing board and blower all worked well.

Bar was nice. Good staff. Good location. Go w valet. Rooms need an update but great for this price.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful for surrounding hot spots. Room was very clean and comfortable.

Needed food at 1115 from an Oriole game, and couldn't get any. I could have alcohol, but no food. Service a little later, even a reduced memory would be nice.

There was a private party on the third floor until 2 am that we could vividly here on the 9th floor

It was a nice little spot it was real close to the arena I would book again there

This hotel is a bit outdated and its reflected in the cleanliness of the bathroom and other facilities. I also don't like how they charge $35 for an "early check-in fee". It puts a stain on the whole stay and makes the hotel appear less hospitable. At least other hotels you have a loyalty program or a rewards program that offers certain perks, essentially this hotel has no perks for folks who are repeat visitors and it seems like a cheap money grab. 4pm is pretty much the evening time and during my time there it was freezing outside. Negative wind chill, dangerous snow conditions on the roads and sidewalks but I should pay a fee to get to my room early when it's ready? I was placed in a small room with a bed directly next to the window and no matter how high the temperature in the room was, I had goosebumps because I was freezing. There was zero insulation. I also booked this staycation so I can relax and watch cable. The first room I was placed in didn't even have cable and I called and let the front desk know, the person mentioned an "engineer" was coming to fix the issue and an hour later, it never happened. I ended up getting moved to a different room that night because I advocated for how cold it was and the new room had a working TV, but initially it was so much back and forth with the front desk. Makes for a less enjoyable experience. I will say the were kind in the fact I forgot some items in the previous room and they made sure I received it safely. This is a great location if you're exploring Baltimore but there may be better options for a similar price point that's more hospitable. The tub was draining slowly and the water didn't get too hot. It made me even more excited to get home because my own shower pressure and experience is so much better. So it wasn't even luxurious in that sense. There was also hair in the shower. So for all the "early check in fees" and waiting until after 4pm to ensure the rooms are "clean" it seems my room was barely up to hotel standards. The comforter was also a mess so I just didn't have a positive experience.
