Spent one night here in Baltimore when attending a concert. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious. One downside was there was not a trash can in the room. Very weird. Valet was 40$ overnight which seems par for the course for valet. I would stay here again

I've been to a bevy of Marriott Hotels over the years, but nothing like this. Yes, the room was clean and the bed linens and the bed comfortable. The valets were very nice. But that's where the good things end. First of all, the weekday front desk people were not at all friendly, and throughout the week, they rarely looked up from their computer screens. When I checked in, I was told that the Internet was out. Okay, I thought, that happens. As it turned out, I checked in on a Tuesday evening, and when I left - I couldn't wait to leave- at 6:20 on Saturday morning, it was still out. No explanation. There never was an explanation other than, they are working on it. They weren't helpful about what to do. Since I was at a convention and booked through a housing bureau, I kept speaking to the housing bureau rep who also had a hard time finding out what was going on. I don't think she ever did, although she did talk to the sales rep for the hotel who was kind enough to call me on Friday and tell me that the Internet would be back that afternoon. Nope. She had also told the housing bureau person that the Hotel Monaco a block away had Internet and we could sit in its lobby and use its Internet. Of course, no one at the front desk offered that - and since the neighborhood was sketchy, I would not have walked over there for even that one block after dark. Second, when I checked out my room, I saw that it faced a wall just about a foot from my window, so I went back downstairs to change rooms. I thanked the front desk fellow for the high floor (there are only 7), but he shrugged and gave me a difficult time about changing rooms. He said the hotel was sold out for my convention, but I was there early and suspected that not everyone had checked in. I was right (I saw people checking in the next day for my convention.) He kept giving me a hard time until the other front desk person took over and found me another room that didn't look straight at a wall. That room was dark but okay, although there weren't a lot of amenities in the bathroom, and the bottom of the door in the bathroom looked like someone had kicked it, and the tub had two holes in it that I first thought were black flies. Then I was awakened that night at 4 a.m. by at least 10 to 15 minutes of what sounded like construction noise. I finally called down to the front desk and that person said that security would check it out. I was called back and told it was a garbage truck but would leave soon. And about the valet - I was told that there was only valet parking. I don't know if I could have self-parked - but in any event, it was $40 a night! Even the Four Seasons at the other end of the harbor was cheaper - $38 per night valet and $10 if I parked myself! And calling the valet - there was only ever one person, and it took him or her a long time to get the car. That I understood, but not so much when I came back after 10 Friday night and there wasn't a valet. The front desk did not have his c

I loved the view of the city from my room. I was able to catch a glimpse of the fireworks Abe it was really nice. The room was clean. I would have appreciated it if they had more than two sets of towels in the rooms. I said rooms because my family occupied other rooms. They need to place a trashcan in the bathroom as well as the main room. A couple of things were very loose or missing in the bathroom such as the makeup mirror on the wall was so loose I was afraid to use it because it might have fallen off the wall. The faucet in the bathtub wasn't secure but all it needed was caulking around the faucet to tighten it. I must say that all of the staff at the hotel exhibit great customer service. Once the minor malfunctions are fix the ratings would go from average to a four 🌟 or better. I would go back.

Super rude. They canceled our reservation and never notified us. First time we were notified was when we went to check in. I stay at Marriott properties all the time and was actually in a different property last night. This one should be shut down!!! We are currently driving home at 2am because of this mistake. Stay anywhere else.
