Laika Boutique Stay

Laika Boutique is a welcome respite for travelers to Bangalore. It is modern and clean and off the busy thoroughfare. The rooms are generous in size with ample storage space. The toilets are modern and the decor is refreshing. There is a quiet living room on the first floor- a good place to read the paper and enjoy your tea or coffee. On the second floor there is an outside private balcony for lounging or reading. The wi-finis good everywhere. The glass front elevator is a nice touch.

The charming girl from the reception asked me to pay in advance for the 3 days I had to spend. Arrived in the bedroom, a terrible noise e***ates from the Bangalore ring road located less than 100 m away. I am claustrophobic, impossible for me to sleep windows closed. I came down right away explaining the reason for my refusal. The girl told me that I would have to pay at least 1 night (!) but also that the ***ager would only come to see me the next day to pay me back the other 2 nights. (he lives in the house next door !) The latter set me up an appointment the following day. I came back on time with a friend. We waited in vain. He made me come back, by far, for nothing. The boss of Laika Boutique Stay refused to refund me by bank transfer. He de***ds that someone present himself personally, and he does NOT come to the appointment. He knows I live... in France ! A staggering dishonesty !! La char***te jeune fille de l'accueil m'a de***dé de régler d'avance les 3 jours que je devais passer. Arrivée dans la chambre, un bruit épouvantable é***e du périphérique de Bangalore situé à moins de 100 m. Je suis claustrophobe, impossible pour moi de dormir fenêtres fermées. Je suis redescendue illico en expliquant la raison de mon refus. La jeune fille m'a dit qu'il faudrait que je paye au moins 1 nuit (!) mais aussi que le responsable n'acceptait de venir me voir que le lendemain pour me rembourser les 2 autres nuits. (il habite la maison mitoyenne !) Ce dernier m'a fixé un rdv. Je suis revenue le lendemain à l'heure dite avec un ami. Nous avons attendu en vain. Il m'a fait revenir, de loin, pour rien. Le patron de Laika Boutique Stay a refusé de me rembourser par virement. Il exige que quelqu'un se présente personnellement... et ne vient pas au rendez-vous. Il sait que j'habite... en France ! Une malhonnêteté sidérante !!!

I discovered this Boutique hotel by a random search on Google & what a find it was!! It is right in the City with access to everything you need & every place you ought to go during your Stay - be it Restaurants, Pubs, Shopping or just visiting the City for business! The Property is located in a quiet residential bylane Off Richmond Road & has 8 spacious rooms available for nightly or long term stays. You will fall in love with the Hotel, the minute you see the Building, which has been so thoughtfully designed taking into account the neighborhood & the green canopy. The interiors are tastefully done with wooden furniture and displays of curios, artefacts. The rooms are very clean, fitted with ACs and a comfortable bed, a working desk & chair. The bathrooms are the way they ought to be, clean & dry, has hot water available all the time through the geyser. Rooms are well lit & ventilated with louvre windows and there is greenery all around. You can smoke in the common balcony space or relax reading a book without being disturbed. Breakfast is complimentary & is served with South Indian dishes and toast, bread, oats. There is a convenience store nearby where you can buy snacks and Swiggy/Zomato delivers food from restaurants of choice. It is a great place to stay for all categories of travellers.
