My fiancé stays at this hotel on a regular basis and generally has good things to say about the hospitality the hotel provides starting from the receptionist to room service. On 4th September, she was on my way out from the main lobby at 5:20pm and had forgotten to wear a mask, which is still required in Bangkok. She approached the receptionist, Naleupon K, asking if they had a spare mask, which the hotel should have considering they advertise themselves as being ”Covid Free” and the Golden Tulip is a four star hotel. Surprisingly Naleupon sharply said no they don’t have a mask. She found this strange as it's a Health and Safety issue, so she asked again and the receptionist then handed her a box of N95 masks at the counter and said you have to buy it. She asked “all of it?” To which the receptionist opened the box and said “49 Baht”. She told her not to worry, she would rather buy it from outside. This complaint is obviously not about the small fee, but it's the carelessness and attitude received from the receptionist for a simple request that bothered her. It's unnecessary and spoilt her afternoon.

Sukhumvit
Very Nice Hotel. Rooms are spacious. What I like most is that my suite has two fully functional Android TV, one on the bedroom and the other on living room. The bathroom has all the required amenities with Japanese Commode. The hotel is pretty neat and clean, and also very quiet. Breakfast is very good, mostly continental items which I like. The pool is very nice with built in jacuzzi and also rain shower. The front desk staffs are very cordial and always smiling. What I also liked was the other guests of the hotel, they were mostly Europeans and some Latins. Many came with their small kids. Family friendly hotel I should say. One little negative thing is the hotel is located a little deep down the alley, the main road is a 600 meres walk from the hotel, which is ok for once or twice but not many times, it becomes tiring when you are returning late at night from hustle bustle of Sukkhumvit. Since it is deep down the alley, it is also a positive point in a way that you can relax. It was a wonderful three nights stay for us. Definitely recommended.
