We booked Bangkok City Hotel from 18–21 September because of its convenient location near Ratchathewi BTS. This was my first time staying at this hotel, although I have stayed in Bangkok many times before. We stayed in Room 1908 on the 19th floor.
Unfortunately, our first night was a very frightening experience. At around 2:00 a.m., I was still awake while my friend was sleeping. Suddenly, I felt like I couldn't move my body. I felt my hand being pushed back and forth, and the bed was shaking. I tried to shout for help but couldn't. I also saw something white in front of me, although I couldn't tell what it was.
After a few minutes, I was finally able to move and immediately asked my friend to turn on the light. We were both very scared and stayed awake until around 6:00 a.m. before going back to sleep.
The next morning, on 19 September, we decided to check out and move to another hotel. The staff simply explained that the room could not be refunded. We understood the policy and were fine with not receiving a refund.
I'm sharing this review simply to describe our personal experience during our stay. The location was convenient, but unfortunately, because of what happened that night, we decided not to stay for the remaining nights.
