Merry V. Guesthouse

Fantastic place to stay in the heart of the old amazing city of Bangkok. The receptionists, the lady traveling agency, the cleaning team and team bar & amazing restaurant are the best in Khao San Rd Area. For an affordable price you get your own room sharing bathrooms and toilets at an in competitive quality price. All floors have an immense all along the building balcony to spy the venue. Do not hesitate to. This Guesthouse became my hometown in a 14 months traveling. You will not regret to stay at Merry V Guesthouse and ReRepeat.

I enjoyed staying here. I stayed a total of 40 days. TLDR : Towels were offered. Not sure if the soap was from other guests or establishment,but I assume they don’t. WiFi is strong. Sheet are clean. Garden area is beautiful. Staff is courteous. Toilets and general cleaning happens daily. NOW FOR THE GLAZE SESSION, because in my personal experience. This was perfect. From the first day one of the staff members was very helpful. I’m not sure if giving her name would be good,but let’s just call her P. P acknowledged that I am staying for a long time and advised that I let her know if I had any problems with my current room and would be glad to exchange. I really appreciated her hospitality. The young ladies clean everyday. This made my stay a lot easier because some travellers tend to…have different hygiene standards or maybe they’re just drunk out of their mind and just mess. Towards the end I enjoyed the garden a lot more. The resultant downstairs was also enjoyable and the staff there is pleasant and the lady in the passage way who offers the tourism stuff and the other 2 staff(the guy and younger lady) would serve with a smile. The guy staff member by reception looks like a serious guy, or maybe I perceived him as so, but when I needed help with gaining access, his mannerism was so warm and attentive . I appreciated that a lot. Before I even considered booking I wanted to see the room and the young lady was kind enough to take the time to look through what had not been booked and showed me how it looked. That’s when I made an active decision that I’m going to book my 40 day stay instead of taking it a week at a time. I appreciate the hospitality. In general Thai people are kind, but the establishment In my first day when I was a bit finicky about the walls, the cleaning staff was quick. The staff was also patient when it came to language/communication barriers. I appreciate the smiles and assurance. It’s these small things that compound to this larger appreciation ands gratitude I’d like to express. Personally considering the service and the price, this place deserves a 9/10. I would stay here again.

Good value for the price. The room was simple but clean and everything worked as expected. WiFi was fast and reliable throughout the stay, which made a big difference. There’s a restaurant on the ground floor that’s convenient and serves decent food, especially after a long day out. Location near Khao San Road is great if you want to be close to everything. a solid option for the budget with no major issues.

Very good location but not too noisy at night. It was a fan room but comfortable at night.

Worst stay of all!the tiny thai lady at the reception screams, doesn’t communicate well and aggrese you when you ask a question about what to do around the hostel. I would avoid at any cost despite its cheapest price!!!!

+ good location - no privacy - extremly noisy - light from corridor shining into your room - broken sockets - cold water - no lights on toilet and shower - different pictures of "rooms" on booking...they are more like a prison cells with half paper wall and some bars above) - rude reception Better avoid this place, you can find much better options for almost the same price (+-400tbh)

Merry V has some off the cheapest single bed rooms in the Khao San area, they are very basic but ok for me (they have also better and more quiet rooms backside). The Adresse ist 33 Soi Ram Buttri, Chana Songkhram, Phra Nakon (Khao San street ist nearby).

Thank you for another good stay at your hotel , I stay a few times a month sometimes more , so I can recommend this place for the budget traveller
