Our go-to hotel when in Bangkok for a couple of nights. Yes, it's old and a bit worn, but the location suits us (close to the Grand Palace and Khao San Road) the pool is nice, they have a 24 hour desk, and provide safe luggage storage for a reasonable fee. Definitely not upscale or fancy, but we just came from a resort that cost 3x the price and the bed and sheets at the Royal were of much higher quality and comfort!

Very good and convenient standard to get cheap place in Center of BKK. Unfortunately it needs complete reconstruction or change the name. It puts not good light on Thailand when the place is called Royal .

We stayed 2 times. Location great but environment not clear and safe. Service medium I could’n find some amenities actually pool.

We stayed in the hotel for 4 days and 3 nights. In general, it is a good hotel. Breakfast is excellent. The location is convenient to travel around. Very close to Khaosan road. However, there are some aspects that can be improved. Specifically, we found cockroaches in the clothing closet, there was mold on the walk, the wifi didn't work as said by the reception for the entire our stay, it was pretty noisy at night because the hotel is close to the main road.

If you're looking for a budget-friendly option that offers basic amenities, this old but decent hotel could be a solid choice. The building definitely shows its age, with some worn-out furniture and decor that could use an update, but everything is clean enough for a short stay. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing service with a smile. While you won’t find luxury here, the rooms are surprisingly spacious, and the bed is comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. The Wi-Fi is decent, and there’s a basic breakfast available in the morning, which is a nice touch. If you’re not expecting anything fancy and just need a place to crash for a night or two, this hotel fits the bill perfectly for its price.

Location is perfect, close to famous sights and 5 min walking to Khaosan road. This hotel in of retro style, and this is amazing) They have old style furniture and well-designed bathrooms. The air-conditioning in our room was very high, and i was absolutely freezed at night. The breakfast is very poor so we went to the neighbours. The restorant is awfully uncosy. But the menu a la carte is good and for reasonable prices. A bit noisy at night. The swimming pool is working till 6 p.m.

Imposing in its entrance looking out on a good view it is rundown yet clean with my room being merely functional small with a side window it is decent with a good breakfast lobby restaurant an charming but not very inspiring

The place looked very different from the pictures. The building looked a bit old. But everything was super clean. The staff was amazing. The room was clean and the location was amazing. Close to Khao Sand Road(5min walk). There was elevator available and we didn’t have time to get in the swimming pool but it looked nice. If you need hairdryer, it’s available is you ask in the counter. I had a good experience~ even if the pictures were different.

The room Sanitation is horrible. **** on toilet，Stains on bed sheet.NO slippers for the livingromm.Service is so bad.

Not so bad, you paid what you get. The room is ok, things are there with what you need. No dryer lol. Overall experience is really Okok.

Good location, near Khaosan road and Royal palace Big room, good hot shower Wifi is ok The hotel is quite old but big and there is a swimming pool

location is great, near to bus station and koasan road and other attractions, facilities are little old but kind of possible , We've been there 3 days . Receptions are little angry kkk🫡
