Reviews of Tongtara Riverview Hotel

Not really that good, especially when I ask the front desk for cutlery also the breakfast really sucks didnt even finish it.

Very good I am very happy to stay here and I will come back if I travel to BKK

Hotel room is quite large a.d clean. There has not much choice for breakfast , but still ok. Location is quite ok for me because i only plan to go for nearby attractions like Asiatique, the grand palace. Everything is good for me except wifi. Totally cannot use wifi.

Liked the hotel and the river view from the large room on the 10th floor was great. The bathroom was a bit old and dated and the shower was over the bath rather than being a separate unit. But for the money I can’t complain. The only thing I didn’t like was the safe didn’t have a lock on it at all and the door swung open freely. So good luck securing any valuables. However it may have only been my room with that problem. Breakfast was nice and filled the gap until lunchtime and was a nice area to sit and relax on the 2nd floor.

When we arrived at 5.30 pm , there was only one GSA for checking in and about 5 rooms but no one assisted her . We waited for nearly 15 minutes.

Hotel is alright but a bit out of main locations... main annoying thing is the central A/C is indeed crazy loud. If you dont need it, the trick is to put out the key to shut down everything.

Front officers are excellent welcome and helpful. Hotel located close to Asiatigue Riverfront.

This would be my last choice, the service was slow, incompetent and so many lies to deflct their inept service, you go there you will suffer !

Our second stay at this hotel. Still very good value and in a good location for visiting the Bangkok riverfront area. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Fair distance from the centre (Sukhumvhit) area. The hotel is perhaps looking a bit tired and in need for some new decor but the rooms are well equipped and very spacious. Staff friendly and professional and the buffet breakfast was of a fairly good standard. Overall still a good hotel that we would happily use again

The lobby is good but everything else was not good. The room is old and water was leaking from the air conditioner. Didn't look clean. Sheets and just 2 small pillows. The bathroom was not good either It looked like a train station bathroom. I have always had good experiences with trip.com recommended hotels. This is the first time in 10 years I have had a bad hotel experience booked through trip.com. Mostly travel package tour buses come here. The outside looks good, the location is good but the hotel rooms are bad
