Hotel rooms were great, breakfast was excellent especially the coffee. I am a coffee drinker and good coffee is a must 😀. Staff were all very friendly, respectful and helpful. I have nothing bad to say against this hotel. The hotel pool was a little small and could do with more sun lounges. The whole of my stay was just great until the end. We feel we get the support from the hotel when we encounter a problem outside their hotel. We had booked a taxi on our grab app that stated big enough to fit 2 large suitcases. When the taxi arrived there were no no room in the boot to fit 2 large suitcase and we have 2 large and 2 small suitcases. Although the hotel staff were onsite to help us the driver didn’t even get out of the taxi to greet or help us. We dispute this saying the taxi inscription was not as said in the app. We asked if the hotel can order us another taxi as we are now running late to catch our flight. The driver now got out of his car said we should cancel the taxi ourselves, we tried to cancel but the app said we have to pay cancellation fee even though this was not our fault. By this time the manager from the hotel came over asking what the problem was, they discussed this in Thai between the taxi driver and staff who were there. The manager then said that they cannot or us a taxi until we cancel this taxi. We had no choice but to cancel on our app with the cancellation fee as we want to leave and not want to miss our flight. I know the fee wasn’t a lot but it was the principle that this was not our fault. We only booked it in good faith that the taxi has enough space to fit our suitcases but it wasn’t true in this case. The hotel eventually ordered us another taxi after we cancelled our taxi that was useless to us. So this was the moment we took away with us on our last few hours of the hotel which was not great. We felt disappointed at the end of a wonderful experience which wasn’t pleasant.
