Well, this is my second stay at this hotel in 3 months time. This time I got a room with a bath tub which is absolutely fine with me. However, there is no rack or shelf for the shower gel and shampoo, so I need to bend over 90 degrees for several times in a shower which is quite annoying. The sink also has a long hair from a previous lady guest. Photo attached for details. Other than the bathroom, the mattress is also a bit too soft especially by the edge, so I need to sleep in the center of the king size bed to avoid a bad back in the morning. Secondly, the same old issue happened again (it happened in my last visit in July) as the room maid took the room key away from the slot by the entrance of my room, to save energy I presumed This time I have no choice but to run down to the front desk and addressed the happening to the asst. Front office manager. I need to reiterate to her and she agreed that is not the proper action to do in view of the security of my room. Later on, Ms Paantayamon, the manager sent me a fruit plate and chocolate to compensate for the inconvenience caused. I sincerely urged her to conduct more training to the room maids of their uwnprofessional behavior to take room keys away from any guest rooms. It posed a security issue if the key is in the wrong hands. Finally, I hope the hotel looks into this seriously before any theft or loss happens due to the key being taken away from a guestroom.

Far more exquisite location than a Sukhumvit area... Its quiet, roads are wider.. Hotel staffs are friendly and very helpful.... Facilities inside are well. Equipped and maintained.... Unit we booked was 2 bedroom... Its very spacious, comfy beds, can make. Some improvements in breakfast... Rest is all fine

Our stay at Sathorn Vista Bangkok was exceptional. The hotel offers spacious, well-appointed rooms with all the amenities you could need, making it a perfect base for exploring the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we felt welcome throughout our stay. My parents particularly enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and the hotel's convenient location, which allowed us to easily access key attractions. The sauna, pool and gym were great perks for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and my parents were very pleased with the comfort and service. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bangkok!

First time in bangkok with my partner and decided to stay here, staffs were very friendly and service was amazing. Booked the cosy king room and the room was big enough and very spacious, cleanliness wise i think it's quite clean but overall am very satisfied and had zero issues so far. Location wise, the BTS (saint louis) is nearby and it's 3 stops away to Siam or MBK centre, very convenient and there's also a few 711's nearby not even that far! Loved my stay here in bangkok and would come again!!

The best hotel experience so far, it was a whole new level of hospitality. We have been on a trip to Vietnam and the Thailand for over 2 weeks of time and stayed at over 10 different hotels during our trip. Shama yen has been the best one so far in terms of satisfaction, we stayed at 2 other hotels in Bangkok, where one of them was almost the same price, but not as good as Shama yen. The hotel building is a complex located not too far from the central area of Bangkok, you can get there easily from the nearest railway station with a taxi or Grab within 200 THB depending on the busy hours. The room that we stayed in was very spacious, even had a small kitchen area with dining table and sofa, and lots of amenities. I think they have washing machines in the bigger rooms (we saw them on the balconies when we were swimming in the outdoor pool, which was also clean and nice.) Although our room did not have a washing machine, they have a very nice laundry room that is self-service for free, we used it to dry our clothes. What we really liked was that the room had multiple lightnings options to set up the mood depending on your preferences and a big closet area in the bathroom to store your luggages. They provided everything we needed for our stay. The only issue we had was unable to connect your phones to the smart TV in our room, we wanted to watch a movie, tried both Netflix and screenshare, neither worked, we ended up watching movie on our phone instead. Thank you again for your kind service.

Bangkok Silom/Sathon Hotel Guide

Bangkok Travel Guide

Bangkok is Thailand’s capital and the pulse of Southeast Asia. Built along the Chao Phraya River, Bangkok used to get around on a network of canals, earning it the nickname “Venice of the East.”

In Bangkok, you’ve got glittering temples like Wat Arun and Wat Pho sitting right next to shiny skyscrapers and giant malls like IconSiam. No matter if you’re slurping on boat noodles, cruising the river, or catching the sunset from a rooftop bar, Bangkok’s got a way of pulling you in!

Getting to Bangkok

So, you’re headed to Bangkok—awesome choice! Getting there is pretty easy since the city’s got two airports: Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang Airport (DMK).

  • Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) is the main one, located about 30 kilometers (19 miles) southeast of the city center. It’s where most international flights land. It’s shiny, modern, and well-organized, with loads of shops, cafes, and lounges. If you’re flying in from Europe, North America, or anywhere long-haul, this is probably where you’ll arrive.
  • Don Mueang Airport (DMK) is about 20 kilometers (12 miles) north of downtown Bangkok and handles mostly budget airlines like AirAsia and Nok Air. It’s an older airport and it’s great if you’re coming from nearby countries or taking domestic flights.

If you’re catching a red-eye flight, I suggest staying near Suvarnabhumi Airport for convenience. These hotels offer free shuttle services to and from the airport, making those early mornings or late arrivals much easier.

Top Things to Do in Bangkok

Bangkok is chaotic, colorful, and so much fun. This delulu city guarantees you’ll leave with stories to tell!

1. The Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew

The Grand Palace is Bangkok’s most famous landmark, and for good reason. This 18th-century royal palace is incredible, with intricate architecture and remarkable courtyards. Inside, you’ll find Wat Phra Kaew, home to the Emerald Buddha, Thailand’s most sacred statue.

Pro Tip: Your ticket also gets you into the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, which is cool (literally—hello, AC!) and worth a quick stop.

The Grand Palace

2. Wat Pho

Just down the road, you’ve got Wat Pho, home to the massive Reclining Buddha that’s 150 feet of pure gold-plated glory. The temple grounds are beautiful, and if you’re up for it, you can grab a massage at the on-site Thai massage. Trust me, it’s worth it.

Top Things to Do in Bangkok

Chinatown

3. Chinatown

Chinatown is a feast for the senses. No matter if you’re here for the amazing street food, gold shops, or temples, this neighborhood never disappoints. The main drag, Yaowarat Road, comes alive at night with food carts dishing out everything from roast duck to sticky rice with mango.

If you’re visiting during Chinese New Year, expect exciting parades, dragon dances, and even more delicious food. Don’t forget to duck into a side alley—you never know what treasure you’ll find.

GGuest User1. The hotel is quiet in the middle of the city. In the alley behind the downtown. 2. Very close to Chulalongkorn University and Sanyam Shopping Mall. It is only a few hundred meters to the King Power Building, 2 kilometers to the park of the giant lizard, 2 kilometers to the night market of Chulalongkorn University, and the Grand Palace. It is very convenient. The subway entrance is 500 meters. My three children and I go to Suvarnabhumi Airport. The subway is very convenient. 3. The service attitude is very good. 4. Pay special attention to the number of people: I booked a room for 2 nights online. When I arrived, my 13-year-old daughter, 18-year-old eldest child, and 6-year-old third child, the waiter said that only 2 people can stay in one room. I have to book another room. My daughter communicated in English, and then I booked another standard room for 1,000 baht a night for 2 nights. The 650-meter hotel bed has 1.2 beds, which can only sleep one adult.

KKeyToTheHighwayDeluxe Apartment. 60 sqm, 110,000 won for 2 nights. Pros 1. Considering the price, I can't help but give it 5 stars. 2. The room is very spacious and there are separate bedrooms. Each has its own air conditioner. 3. The bed and bedding are good. 4. It was well cleaned and there were no strange smells. Cons 1. The room is a bit dark even when the light is on. 2. The shower curtain is a bit short, so you have to be aware that water might splash outside. 3. The furniture and bathroom show that it's a bit old. 4. The location of the accommodation is ambiguous. (You can just take Grab..)

GGuest UserMy stay in Nishitetsu Hotel was very satisfying. The room was very clean. You can connect to NETFLIX on the television. There was a bathtub in the room where we could enjoy a warm bath. The breakfast was delicious. There were Western style food and Japanese style food to choose from. The waiters and waitresses were very nice and helpful. They helped us order freshly made egg dishes and noodles. One day we had a trip to Hua Hin in the early morning. And the hotel staff had helped us prepare for a breakfast box, so we could take away our breakfast on that day. The staff also helped us book a taxi beforehand, so we could start our journey on time in the early morning. The hotel is near BTS Sala Daeng Station and MRT Si Lom Station. It is very convenient in terms of transportation. Overall, this is the best hotel I have stayed in Bangkok so far.

GGuest UserThe room, bedroom, bathroom was really clean. The food was really good as well. The 2 nights we strayed there was a pool party on top. We could enjoy the pool, tough. Only think we didn’t like was that on the last day it was an out-gate with the electricity so the lifts were not working. Which is ok. But we needed to take all our luggage 15 floors down. A manager on the 15th floor saw us leaving with the suitcases but she didn’t call any staff to help us. They even offered us a drink. Nothing. Only the say sorry, sorry and that’s is. Please next time have an emergency plan designed for the comfort of the guests. Pdta: they gave us a dessert because our honeymoon, which was a good detail.

RRungnapa2The room was very clean but I didn't take any pictures of the room (there was only 1 picture). There is a bed on the upper floor, a raised bed, and below there is a refrigerator. The bathroom is 7/10, but it is considered very good, good service, security, scan the key card before entering the room and the room can scan the key card before entering both the building inside and outside. Very safe, staff provide good service, there is parking, suitable for booking to see the newly opened Rama 9 Bridge, it is also suitable for people traveling alone because the safe place to stay is not too far from the newly opened Rama 9 Bridge. Very fun. Anyone who is looking for a place to stay, I recommend this place. 44 Room is clean, safe, convenient for people who have their own cars. For people who don't have their own cars, they can use public transportation in front of Soi Sathu Pradit 44, very convenient.

MMoma ChouThe location is very convenient. There is a 7-11 downstairs. It takes 7-10 minutes to walk to Jonas Station. It is even closer to the popular tourist attraction King Power Skywalk. The furnishings of the hotel are more elegant, and there are no gorgeous designs and decorations inside. However, the environment is kept quite clean and the air-conditioning is very cool. This time, a family of four booked a connecting room, which was very convenient. It takes 12-15 minutes to walk to the small market (morning), with rich items and affordable prices~

GGuest UserThis is a newly opened hotel in an alley, which is more convenient for breakfast and dinner for the original residents. It's strange that there are no cups or boiling water in the bathroom and room. Only two bottles of mineral water are provided. The room I stayed in has no socket on the table. I don't know if it is because of the room I booked or for other reasons. If you choose, try to avoid the one next to the elevator. Room 01.
