Montien Hotel Surawong Bangkok

Silom/Sathon Bangkok|1.82km from Hua Lamphong Train Station
I had the pleasure of staying at The Montien for 3 weeks 2 months ago when on a company-booked trip. My room and bed were extremely comfortable and spacious, with plenty of natural light and unobstructed views, quality amenities including a Nespresso machine. The Montien decor is modern, Thai style and beautiful. The breakfast buffet is bountiful, with plenty of variety. Pierre Pelletier, the Area General Manager and his team went above and beyond to ensure my stay was outstanding! Then this month when my family and I planned a vacation to Bangkok I picked this hotel as our base. The hotel is conveniently located for easy access to the sky and underground trains, many must-go-to restaurants, cafes, Siam Paragon, temples, Chinatown, night walks and more. We were welcomed with incredible 5-star Thai hospitality. Special mention to Khun Nu, her front desk team and night manager Khun Jew for handling flight delays, airport transfers and arranging pick up of lost luggage, Khun Tik for his world-class warm welcomes, Max’s regular assistance and taxi coordination, the ever-helpful and polite bellmen, Beer remembering our morning coffee preferences, Kae at Ruenton restaurant for looking after us at dinners, friendly Tanya at the lobby bar, the housekeeping team for keeping our 3 rooms impeccable and everyone who made our Bangkok vacation so memorable! It felt like our home away from home and we enjoyed our time here so much!

HAPPY STATION HOSTEL BANGKOK We are located at the southeastern edge of Chinatown. Happy Station Hostel Bangkok is a newly opened hostel in Bangkok located near Bangkok’s main train station and also the MRT Blue Line “Hualamphong” station. Happy Station Hostel is located in a very accessible and convenient location (1 minute walk from MRT- Hualamphong station and 2 minute walk to Bangkok Railway Station). We are surrounded by amazing street food and authentic Thai ambience. The Hostel also has a restaurant which serves food for breakfast time to dinner time. It is at the ground floor where you can hang out with friends and also make new friends here. We serve authentic Thai food, international food, and also offer vegetarian food. Beer is available here as well!

The location was good, walking distance to train station. Room was nice and clean and spacious, the staff was friendly too. But not social at all, as a solo traveller it was hard to talk to other people, so dont recommend if youre looking for that

Chinatown
The breakfast is great. There are many choices of Chinese, Western and Thai food. This alone is a great value. The room is not big but clean and tidy. The service is very good and responsive. It is near Chinatown and close to the subway. The transportation is convenient to check out the famous food in Chinatown. The only drawback is that rooms facing the street may be noisier. There are motorcycles passing downstairs at night. Motorcycles can legally damage the streets in Thailand. If you mind, please tell the front desk in advance when you check in. In summary, highly recommended!

The location of the hotel is very good. There is a subway station at the door. It is only 3 stops away from the Grand Palace. It is very convenient. The hotel has an elevator for easy going up and downstairs. There are coffee shops and restaurants downstairs, making life convenient. Thumbs up!

My family opted to stay in this hotel for about 1 week. The hotel is situated in very convenient location: MRT station is right in front of the hotel ( u see the exit to” Bangkok Centre Hotel” on your arrival at the Hua Lamphong station, select this rather than looking for Hua Lamphong Hotel itself as this hotel is a small hotel while Bangkok Centre Hotel is a bigger one just nearby). When u look at the map visible inside MRT train, u can see the railway symbol above the name Hua Lamphong station. Yes, railway station is just on the opposite side of our hotel: cross the road to get there. But it seems that such railway station is mainly for travelling to locations outside Bangkok. If u want to travel anywhere from the hotel, u can go by MRT, tuk tuk( with many tuk tuk waiting in front of the hotel usually), even motorbike taxis or taxi... Seven- eleven convenient stores are everywhere in Bangkok and it’s not exception to this hotel. We can buy ice to keep in water bottle for long day travelling from 7-11. My kids love Meji Milk from this store. Starbuck is also nearby. I see many foreigners stay in this hotel. The hotel has been operational since 2009. The lift is quite slow as per comments by many other reviewers but we can walk using stairs instead. If u dont like this hotel someway, the nearby hotels are Metro Hotel, Bangkok Centre Hotel...
