Bangkok Ratchathewi 2-star Hotels

I arrived early morning and could leave my luggage in the storage room (in reception) until check in time at 2pm. Key cards do require a security deposit of 300 Baht.. Fully refundable if returned at time of check-out The building has a lift.. But I would hazard the mobility assisted aspect.. None of the bathrooms I saw had hand rails or support in place for people that needed an extra hand Breakfast from 7am till 11am This includes a variety of Thai dishes.. Coffee tea toast.. Fruit juice bananas.. And cereal with milk. Tipping my hat to the ever-present lady that takes such good care of us during breakfast.. Always a smile and always ready to help no matter what the situation.. Always busy making sure dishes remain full and enough to go around for all. There is a microwave if you would like to reheat your food. Food are not allowed in the rooms.. Signs posted everywhere.. Also they allow you to buy your lunch or dinner elsewhere and use the breakfast area to eat your meal. The livingroom has a smart TV with Netflix.. So if the hostel is full.. It can be a bit of a wrestle for the remote or your fav channel. Free WiFi included. To the rooms. For a shared bunk room.. The mattresses are very firm.. Your own cubby and light inside your nook and a curtain for privacy. Rooms are serviced daily. Towls and linen provided at no extra charge. I would suggest earplugs. The proximity to the road makes the noise late at night and early a bit tough to get a peaceful night's sleep.(Bangkok never sleeps at all.. Now does it..) Bathrooms and showers.. Men for their own and woman for theirs.. The women facility included a hairdryer.. The men's side not. Signs between the bathrooms are nearly identical.. Men's room marked with an M and the women's side with a W. Laundry room with two washing machines and a dryer on the 2nd floor.. So run a load while your having breakfast. All machines are coin operated.. 10 Baht coins only. The hostel is 5 to 10 mins walk away from Ratchathewi BTS Station.. And a plethora of dining options and convenience stores within a short walk from the hostel itself. If you had to.. SIAM / BACC / MBK are all within walking distance from this hostel as well for high end shopping or just plain browsing during the day.. No rooftop bar / pub / pool as some other hostels may offer around the city... But the location and team here more than makes up for it. Overall.. A lovely sweet deal 3 showers and 3 toilets on the men's side.. And a communal wash basin and 2 urinals. (speaking only for the 4th floor here)

This is my second time staying at this hostel, what I like about this hostel is the location, as it takes 5-10 minutes walk to BTS Victory Monument station). However, the small alley to the hostel can be a bit quite (and at night I think the bed is a bit uncomfortable and the restroom (bathroom and toilet) is not enough. All in all, I recommend you choose the private bedroom, so you can leave your belongings safely and you will have more privacy.

The location is accessible. Near the Makkasan Station, Shopping mall and the streets were full of Spas. If you have something that needs to be photocopied, they have that service as well. They have money exchanges too. Only thing that didn't work for me is there TV, only found one channel, call and ask for assistance if you need, but in my case, I didn't watch TV since I'm out most of the time and come back at night for rest. It's cheap and affordable.

We were 5 guys and couples and stayed 4 nights at this hotel. I have emailed them asked them to give us big good rooms and they immediately replied and gave us two doulex big rooms at 8th floor. Positive points : 1- location is very good and at pratunam street. MBK & SIAM mall centers are so close . In the neighbor there are many message shops , restaurants , shops , exchanges , and street foods. You are at middle of city and easily can go any where. 2- staffs are friendly and breakfast mostly suitable for eastern asians but still you can find sth to eat. 3- at upper floors its silent and you can sleep well. 4- they asked us 50$ as deposit but we had very easy check out and gave back to us . 5-the rooms had safe boxes. Negative points : 1-they gave one key card for each room . We lost one and they charged us 270 baht to give us a new one. 2- the rooms had some small cockroachs but since we had read reviews about that before our trip we took spray with ourselves for killing insects. 3- the room curtain was not so clean . 4- there was no slipper , tooth paste at the room. Totally if you dont mind about your hotel and you just want have some place to sleep and most of your time you will go out to search the city ,comparing its cheap price , you can choose to stay here. Good location, good service, decent, clean and big room. 10 mins walk to central world, big C, 水門巿場 and 20 mins walk to Siam paragon. Nice local restaurants just downstairs of the hotel. 15-20 mins walk to BTS, air conditioner too loud, no kettle for boiling hot water, but the hotel provided one after requesting. 隔音 is weak, can hear the next door when they talk loud. After all, still good and recommend this hotel.

Pros: 1. Super Location: 30 secs walk to BTS Station, 10 mins walk to MBK centre, 10 mins walk to Siam. Convenience stores, local food stores are around. 2. Clean : I appreciate the cleaners clean the rubbish bins in the toilets few times per day. 3. Very friendly Staff: due to my medical situation, I keep on modifying my booking, but the staff tried their best to help me and arrange my bookings to my conveniences. 4. Conmon area: Nice and spacious. 5. Every bed gets their own light, power point and curtain. 6. The bed is comfortable Cons: 1. The room is quite crowded, not much space to move around 2. The water supply of the shower is weak. 3. More hooks should be done inside the toilets and shower rooms. Not much spaces for you to put things in the shower room. 4. No rubbish bin in the dorm room. 5. Breakfast is very basic,no bread is provided.

Stayed in a female dormitory, the space planning idea was really good. The ceiling was high, so I could put more beds in the room, but it was good to make it a five-person room, one shower room, two toilets, and the area where you can put your personal items in a large washroom was spacious and convenient. The space was spacious and comfortable without any cramped feeling, but it would have been better if I had two showers and one toilet. The mattress was good, the private bed space was spacious and the private locker size was large. First of all, the community space on the second floor was stylish and spacious, and the breakfast was clean and good. The staff are so friendly and explain well. The downside is that there is no window in the female dormitory room, and there is a window in the shower and toilet space, so it is a bit poor in the ventilation part. The double room has a window open in the direction of the public space, but it was a bit unfortunate that the female dormitory could make a window enough in the direction of the public space. It was not good in terms of ventilation, so it smelled stinky, so even if you open the door and ventilate it, there was already a bit of a limit. Overall, it looks clean, but there was a cosmetics sample between the mattress and the floor, and there was some hair...I'm wearing shoes in the hostel, but I'm not ventilated. It would be better to cherry blossoms on the floor and barefoot. The air conditioner is baked, but I think I should clean the filter inside.

Great location lots of cafes around but few restaurants and not easy to get to main road. However very close to airline station to get to airport.

We are travelling with 2 kids the the room was clean and location acceptable only 10 minutes drive to main area, the guy so kind show us the way to bus station on our departure. On first 2 nights we stayed in one of the hotel in Sakuvith area, I can say this hotel provide better service.
