A Memorable Stay at Salil Hotel Bangkok: Exceptional Service and Unforgettable Memories! I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Salil Hotel Bangkok with my girlfriend, and I cannot express enough how incredible our experience was. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality that set the tone for our entire stay. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the concierge team, especially a remarkable individual named ”Good.” His exceptional service and invaluable recommendations truly made our stay in Bangkok unforgettable. Good's extensive knowledge of the city's attractions, dining options, and local hidden gems greatly enhanced our overall experience. Good's dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction was evident from the start. He took the time to understand our preferences and interests, tailoring his recommendations accordingly. His suggestions for local restaurants, cultural landmarks, and off-the-beaten-path attractions were spot-on, allowing us to explore Bangkok like true locals. What truly set Good apart was his attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond. He consistently provided us with detailed maps, clear directions, and even insider tips to avoid tourist crowds. His genuine passion for his job and the city of Bangkok was evident in every interaction, making us feel like valued guests throughout our stay. The Salil Hotel Bangkok itself is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. The rooms are tastefully decorated, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style. The hotel's ambiance exudes a sense of tranquility, providing a welcome retreat from the bustling city outside. The hotel's amenities were top-notch, and the staff's attention to detail was impeccable. From the delicious breakfast spread to the well-maintained facilities, every aspect of our stay was carefully thought out and executed to perfection. The location of the hotel was also ideal, with easy access to public transportation and nearby attractions. Thanks to Good's recommendations, we were able to explore the city's vibrant markets, visit breathtaking temples, and indulge in authentic Thai cuisine at local eateries. Overall, our stay at the Salil Hotel Bangkok was truly memorable, thanks in large part to the outstanding service provided by Good and the entire concierge team. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a remarkable stay in Bangkok, and we cannot wait to return for another unforgettable experience.

Wyndham Garden Bangkok Sukhumvit 42

Wyndham Garden is a newly opened (2021) condo building on Soi 42. I spent only 3 nights in a 1 bedroom suite on the 25th floor, but could comfortably live here long term. Nice view of the city, day and night. Nicely decorated and well equipped for living, sleeping, and cooking. There’s even a clothes washer on the balcony. Great TV but no English channels, so BYO Netflix password. Strong wifi. Comfy bed, and the bedroom has a separate AC unit. Bathroom is small but functional, with a nice shower and toilet bidet. Swimming pool was clean. No jacuzzi tub. Didn’t use the fitness center. Hotel is located less than 5 minutes walk from the Ekkamai BTS station. The Gateway shopping mall (at the BTS station) is loaded with food options and coffee shops, but beyond that, Soi 42 is a food desert. I did not eat at the on-site restaurant, but the menu indicated lunch sets from 250b to 400b. All staff I encountered were friendly and courteous, but that’s where the good service ended. I think the hotel needs to decide if it’s a long term residence (units are for sale), or a hotel. There is no reception, just a small concierge desk, which was often unattended. On check-in I was given no instructions on things I needed to know, for example: Was told to call the desk if I needed anything, but there was no phone in the room, nor did I have the number for the desk. I was given 2 keys, the gray key for the power sensor and the green key for the elevator and room door. Housekeeping is by appointment only. Not knowing this, I waited 2 days before finally going to the desk and scheduled a cleaning. After 5 hours waiting past the scheduled time, I found the cleaners in the hall and asked them to clean, which they did, but they didn’t replenish coffee, tea, water, or toiletries. Plus they weren’t wearing face coverings, which made me a bit uncomfortable (COVID in Thailand is at record numbers at the time of this report). I don't mind washing up after myself, but the kitchen had no sponge or dish soap. And I didn't know to bring my own coffee. So in summary, the hotel is an excellent place to stay, as long as you are self sufficient and know to ask questions. And as long as you can get the rate advertised on the discount booking sites - Wyndham’s website lists a room rate 3 times higher.

Please be BEWARE of this Hotel which uses dubious absurd methods of charging you extra for ridiculous things. The. Hotel manager was extremely rude with zero ownership to mistakes she's totally unfit to be in the service industry. Horrible experience. I had encountered the most unpleasant and ridiculous encounter upon checking out. I was forced by the manager to-pay a half day stay rate at ala carte rate for “ mistakes “ made by the staffs . Due to late ✈️, I had requested for a late checkout if possible 1 day before the checking out day . The staff on duty told me that the latest complimentary extension she can give me was until 3.30pm to checkout . Next morning, I even went down to the receptionist counter to double confirm about checking out timing at 3.30pm and get the staff to extend the room card , again that’s no mention of any additional charge . However upon checking out , a woman who claimed that she’s the manager of the hotel demanded me to pay a half day ala cart room Room , saying that late checkout is chargeable ! She was totally unapologetic, she just argued that the 2 different staffs that attended to me about checkout requests earlier on did not inform me about that it’s the property policy that there will be additional charge rendered because they ARE NEW staffs , but nevertheless I still need to foot for the additional half day room rate ! Totally dishonest management, I felt so cheated and it’s absolutely absurd ! Great disappointment for such dishonest management to exist and no ownership of the mistakes made at their end . Please be aware !

I write this here as I sit in the lobby/restaurant of this place, my family and I had a great time at Lodge 61 which is run by hardworking and warm people. If you are looking for a place to only sleep; without fancy landscape or chandelier, I would recommend this place. They provide a small yet decent room and located pretty close to bts and bus station (to Pattaya etc). Staffs also let us leave our luggages when we traveled to Pattaya that made our beach trip much lighter and relaxed. Many thanks! But check if heater in your shower is working properly!

The most convenient thing here is that the location is very good, but the room is relatively humid and there is no window to the outside, so it is easy to have a musty smell. There is no hair dryer in the room, you have to ask for it from the front desk. In addition, there is a temple next door, which is marked on the map as the place where funerals are held. For those who don't mind these things, this is a good choice.

This is located at a super Great location, but because of this, the road traffic is always heavy the entire day and makes it difficult and long to get a taxi/grab . The staff service is great, from the security staff to housekeeping to even reception, it is all great. The star of this experience that puts a smile on your face. However the room amenities/furniture are very old. The part that i couldn't tolerate it, is the showering -water is either too hot or too cold, can never get a good shower. This is similar to the other reviews by other customers

I was dropped off here by a taxi driver who said I was in the right place, turned out he did not know where he was going and wanted to get rid of me. Luckily it was here, the staff at the reception desk were so helpful that they found the place where I was supposed to be,which took a good 30 min. gave me a cold bottle of water while they were all four of them looking for the address of where I had to go,printed out a map, called a taxi made sure the driver knew where he was going, confirmed at the other end that I was expected and I was on my way. All this and I was not even a guest here, this all happened Friday January 24th 2020. I would like to thank Mr. Somjit Pitpheng (chief guest assistant ) and the lovely ladies that took the trouble to help a tired old man find his way,Thankyou. I will be sure to stay here my next trip to Bangkok.
