Best Western Acadia Park Inn

Very Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Great distance to the park. Breakfast was more than satisfactory, but get there early, things run out. There's fresh cookies and coffee, hot chocolate in the lobby which is a nice touch.

So - this little quaint motel in Bar Harbor might not suit everybody’s taste. It is an old fashioned motel. The rooms are old - as in the a/c units are have dials that you turn numbered 1-10. But they work great !! We had the ground floor and there are plastic patio chairs outside the rooms where we sat and enjoyed our morning coffee from the continental breakfast each morning. The rooms are extremely clean and the staff was wonderful and treated you like old friends!! We loved this little place!! It felt like a step back in time !!
Holiday Inn Resort Bar Harbor - Acadia Natl Park

The hotel is 6 minutes from Bar Harbor, located by water. It’s bigger then most of its chain hotel. The hotel’s sign on the road is “Bar Harbor Regency”. They should change the Holiday Inn “ sign at outside so the customer is easy to find it. I booked 2 queen room. When I check in , I was upgraded to 2 queen room in the main building, which was very nice. The room is very clean, bathroom is big. I will recommend this hotel to other people.

While the staff were friendly and the room was newly renovated I was surprised that the way to our room without stairs with our suitcases was a ramp covered in roof tiles. The room appeared clean and no carpet which is fine with me but the outside entrance and no entrance rug to wipe your feet left the floor messy.. There were dead cockroaches on the balcony, yuk. But you couldn't sit out there anyway because the AC was so loud and the constant drip wet the balcony. The AC was just as loud in the room so you won't need your white notice machine. Make sure you are traveling with someone you are very close with, the bathroom door is jus a slider and doesn't provide 100% privacy. We did it utilize the breakfast, as there was no where to a sit and the air freshener was Veneto make me sick. Luckily we were out more than in the room. The shower was nice. The ice maker was broken for two days. The benefit was you are close to downtown.

The room is good enough, the sea view room has a panoramic view, health and safety, few service staff, and need self-help.
