From entering the hotel to the time we checked out we were treated like royalty. We came to Barcelona for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and on the day of check in I was greeted by beautiful patisserie and a bottle of chilled cabs in our room! Our first breakfast was heralded by complimentary pancakes and the staff were so courteous and helpful. But what made our stay so special was that this isn’t just an ordinary city hotel. They ooze individuality at every opportunity, from the selection of drinks in your room to the evening entertainment and everything else in between. The location of the hotel is very good. The corner is opposite the main commercial street in the center of Barcelona. The building facade and the public lobby on the ground floor are decorated in a modern atmosphere. Breakfast is very rich, this is the best I have had in the same grade abroad, and the waiter attitude is good, the front desk waiter attitude is also good. The room is considered to be a bit larger. The only room that is not perfect is a little stuffy, and the price is a bit high. Overall the location and breakfast were great.

The Hotel has a wonderful staff. They are very friendly and polite. The location is more than perfect. The hotel is located 5-7 away of the central part of the city. Plenty of restaurants choices . Very clean place with a modern design. We've been there to celebrate our son's 3rd birthday and the management has been prepare for. They had organised the room with a lot of balloons and small presents for him. Very kind of them. The breakfast was included and it was with a multiple choices. Excellent customer service... So - Highly recommended place of any one aspect!

When first booking our trip to Barcelona, it was a little overwhelming the amount of properties one could choose from. After a bit of review and consideration we decided on the Hotel Olivia Balmes. We were most interested in finding a hotel that was centrally located, emphasized comfort and cleanliness, & had in room central air conditioning (given our late summer travel). The hotel hit top marks in all. We also used the pool and ate breakfast which were both excellent. I would not hesitate to book a stay here. The front desk staff were also very kind and available 24 hours a day.

Where do I start we simply loved everything about our stay at the edition. We stayed here April 18th - 21st and the staff specifically the concierge, night bell man on the 18th and front desk were beyond helpful and accommodating. I unfortunately lost the card with their names but those three guys helped my mom and I tremendously - from recommendations, transportations and other tidbits which made our stay very special. Lou Lou on the rooftop was exceptional and actually would remember our morning order which added that extra touch of personalization and guest service. Lisa I believe was her name at the rooftop bar (evening) was also fabulous. The Edition hotel is one of my favorite luxury boutique hotels and the Barcelona one didn’t disappoint - the rooms were gorgeous, clean and well appointed. The rooftop had breath taking views and the bar on the 1st floor was great for a nightcap. On top of the service, great rooms the hotel was in an exceptional location which made exploring super easy! We spent three days here and then moved to the W and it was nowhere near the level of luxury service - quite frankly we regretted having not stayed at the Edition for our entire stay!

This is the second time I stayed at this hotel: I stayed here 17 years ago in my first visit to Barcelona although I could not remember much of my experience then. I decided to stay at the Hotel Royal Ramblas in my second visit to Barcelona for 5 nights in September 2022 because of its good location. I must say its location on La Rambla is excellent and exceptional. It is close to many popular tourist attractions, it's just a few minutes walk to Plaza Catalunya metro station, and bus stops at Plaza Catalunya for the hop on hop off buses. Port Veil and the beach are within walking distance. The room we got on the Planta Royal (just one floor above the breakfast restaurant) was comfortable and clean. Although the room is facing La rambla it is extremely quiet during the night. The wifi was fast, the shower was great and the aircon was so quiet and effective. The breakfast was excelent throughout our stay and the staff at the reception were very helpful and freindly. I will definitely recommend this hotel for visitors to Barcelona. One complaint I would like to make is that for a four star hotel, there isn't any tissue paper in the room. I have to buy one box of tissue papers from Carrefour nearby. But in my opinion Hotel Royal Ramblas is an excellent hotel and I would stay there agin in my next visit.

I had the pleasure of staying here for just one night with a friend and it was a really nice stay. The room had a lovely view, comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom. It all looks like it was newly renovated - all fresh all around. Sincerely lovely and helpful staff in both reception, bar and breakfast. The breakfast was really really nice. Nice layout, live cooking station, seating area both inside and outside and had everything you would want. The hotel has a super location with just a short walk to major sights. Thank you very much to your all for a lovely stay

Sincerely baffled by all of the positive reviews. Like most of you reading these reviews, We scour the internet to ensure the hotel will be a good fit for my travels. The overwhelming number of positive reviews for this hotel led me to believe we would have a positive experience; but our reality was very different. First; the room was filthy ( this can be very subjective) - which I understand can just ge due to staffing issues etc. and the hotel should not be judged based on this alone. We did let the hotel know our room was pretty dirty and they offered to move us to a complimentary suite on the 14th floor; after being shown the new room; we ultimately declined and ended up checking out after one night as we really did not like our room at all (more on that below). Broken door latches, dirty sheets, dusty lamps, cruddy baseboards and the vanity shelf over the toilet in the bathroom to store your things was just a bit much for us. In our experience, this is one of those hotels where the front lobby is incredibly beautiful, modern, and updated.. however the rooms show signs of some major aging and are in need of a desperate update. We experienced two rooms within the hotel and both were in need of a major update (their suites included). The room photos we see online we felt like were major glamour shots of the actual rooms. Beds: bed preferences vary, so what may be comfortable for me, may not work for another person. Objectively speaking, beds had zero padding to them whatsoever and all bed springs could be felt. Every time we sat down, the bed made a weird noise. It’s worth noting, the beds are also on casters, which aren’t the sturdiest things (assuming this is to be able to move from 2 twins into a king type of room relatively quickly). Bed was the same “hardness” in the upgraded suite as well. Noise: We initially stayed on the 5th floor with a view of the sagrada familia. The hotel is right above a park and we could hear every conversation, cough, spit up and dog bark below us. Furthermore, we could hear all of our neighbors conversations in the rooms next door(s), people coming and going etc. We sincerely found the soundproofing to be completely non existent. When we previewed the room on the 14th floor, we found the noise to be present as well. Location: As far as the proximity to the sagrada familia, this hotel can’t be beat. The hotel offers rooms with views of the sagrada familia as well. Higher floors will obviously have better views; but the room we initially paid for was on the 5th floor and though we could see the Sagrada Familia, it wasn’t exactly what we pictured or thought we paid for. The hotel does appear to be in a more commercial part of town; so we did not feel like it had a charming neighborhood feel at all. Outside of the Sagrada familia, this hotel isn’t very close to other tourist locations so you will be using metro/Uber quite a bit. The metro is within 5-10 minutes walking distance; which we really loved.

It was close to the metro and I was able to see Sagrada Familia every day. There are a lot of people passing by, so it is safe to walk at night. The cafe nearby was also open at 7 o'clock, so I didn't have any trouble finding dinner or going to the supermarket. Unfortunately, there was a wet towel inside the blanket in the room...it was disgusting. When I told the staff, they handed me a new blanket and said, ``I'll check with the cleaning staff.'' The blanket was also scratchy and untidy and didn't feel good to the touch. I would like to give it a high rating because the location, room, and staff can speak English, but the cleaning and blankets were disappointing!

This hotel is less than a five-minute walk from Sagrada Familia and many restaurants are also in the area. It is very convenient as it is close to a Metro stop. We rode the Metro from the airport to Boutique Hostemplo, This is not a chain hotel, but has its own unique character located on a narrow street. Our room was super clean and had its own balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful. We chose to eat breakfast there. It was a good breakfast, a good value, and a great way to save time. If we ever go back to Barcelona, we will choose to stay at Boutique Hostemplo again,

This hotel's location let you touch all of Barce's atraction with supermarket, shops, laundry and restaurant nearby. Great staffs, very kind, friendly and helpful. My room was spacious with a street view. Just one thing is that the pillows are too high(thick) for my girlfried. Overall a great stay, Definitly recommend and would come there again.

We stayed in an apartment for 5 days. We left our ship and arrived at the nearest location our cabdriver could get us because it was the day of the Barcelona Marathon. We got within about a block and we're able to park our luggage at the hotel until such time as we could check in. We had a fantastic view of Sagrada Familia church designed by Gaudi. The hop on hop off bus was within about a block and a half and right in front of the church. We spent a lot of time in the neighborhood meeting locals and enjoyingCatalonian cuisine. We spent time walking around the neighborhood drinking I got the atmosphere and feel of the neighborhood. We ate in very local family owned and operate restaurants.

It was close to the metro and I was able to see Sagrada Familia every day. There are a lot of people passing by, so it is safe to walk at night. Hotel location is very close to the Sagrada Familia, very close to the breakfast, but the bakery next to the hotel is a lot of 52 years old, the price is not expensive, you can taste the local taste. The ice cream shop and the famous dessert shop in Spain are also important for large and small supermarkets to eat. It is very convenient to see the hotel hotel apartment capsule coffee machine capsule coffee only 4 tea bags 4 (booking 4 people room 4 nights) The room has a balcony but the balcony looks out and the messy house can't see the scenery room. No other napkins are provided. Other equipment is still very good. You can buy the supermarket stuff and come back to the microwave oven to make it super easy to use 2 bathrooms. Super convenient 2 bedrooms. The two single beds in the big bed are the hotel we chose. It is convenient to travel nearby. There are other subways. The location is the highlight. The Sagrada Familia can be seen at any time.
