Really nice hostel with kind and friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

It was not that clean due to sharing dorm, it should work better if they had a place where we can keep the shoes outside of the room

I had a very positive experience staying at the hostel. The location is excellent—just a short walk from Diagonal Metro station, making it easy to get around Barcelona. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet at night, which made for a comfortable and restful stay. The staff were friendly and efficient, making check-in and check-out quick and simple. I booked a bed in the shared 6-bed in-suite accommodation. The room was clean, with fresh sheets and pillows, and the common areas, including the bathroom, were well-maintained. One improvement could be adding privacy curtains around the beds, which would enhance comfort for guests in shared rooms. Also, offering the option to choose between an upper or lower bed would be helpful. As my stay was brief, I didn’t get a chance to use many of the hostel's facilities. The buffet had a reasonable variety, though expanding the vegetarian options would be a welcome addition. Overall, it was a comfortable, well-located stay that met my needs, and I’d recommend it to others visiting Barcelona.

I really love the vibe of the place. It is meant for expats and people traveling from around the world staying in a 8 bed dormitory room. I have met a few great people.

a very bad experience i went to the hostel at 2pm but the reception said they can’t check in as they too busy and didn’t finish the room cleaning And they don’t offer free store luggage So I go for lunch with my luggage When I back they it’s 3:00pm They still didnt finish the room cleaning Until 4:00pm they finish the room cleaning and help me check in It is a very bad experience I won’t book this hotel again

I liked that the linen was clean but the bed came undone easily, also there was some dust in the room. It is terrible that the sink is in the same room as the beds, so people wake you up. My bed did not have a wooden board to cover for the light in the entrance, so it was very disrupting in the morning (see photo).

Room is great and comfy, facilities similar to other Generator branded hostels. Location is great, walkable distance to Passeig de Gracia train station where you can take the train to the airport.

Generator is a clean place, however it’s not really for solo travelers as mostly school groups come here (in my experience at least). However a good place nonetheless

The dorms were very spacious with comfortable beds and ensuite washroom. The bar in the hostel hosts parties and they have a cafe also and a chilling area and reading area where you can choose to relax, read or even work.

The location is good, very near to the most famous sightseeings in Barcelona

The hotel was lovely and very close to the city center. I was able to easily take the metro to move around the city

Have to pay your left luggage in the locker

To be fair, location is quite ideal, with convenience Marta right across the road and easy access to bus + trains. However, there were bed bugs, thin doors (you would be able to hear slamming even if you get a private room) and the electricity went out 3 times during my stay there, once during midnight which disrupted my sleep. As for customer service, the receptionist at the desk was courteous. However, the Receptionist asked me to write an email to them detailing the issues so they can look into it, but they never replied, so resolution is not great.
