Efficient check-in process with the ability to leave our bags in a secure room as we had arrived early.  Room very comfortable and clean with bathroom products and bedlinen provided. Breakfast quite substantial in the morning with a great range of foods provided.  Close to restaurants, bars, local shops & amenities.  Would definitely recommend Barcelona House to stay.

It's just off the main road of La Ramblas near the Columbus Monument. Not very clear signage but keep your eyes open. Nice clean comfortable reception area. Check in was easy and quick. Staff showed us room for storage of our bags as we were very early. We managed to get a room after lunch. Room is large, clean and comfortable. Nice bed but only 2 pillows. No coffee/tea maker. We had to get a kettle from reception and deposit €10 which is returned when kettle is returned. No cups for hot drinks. We had to use the glasses in the bathroom. Wifi is good. Breakfast is substantial. Overall it was value for money.

Great location with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. Some of the rooms are very small and the staff aren’t particularly friendly. The breakfast was very good but the breakfast room is VERY noisy. Good value of you can get a decent sized room at a reasonable price.

The breakfast was excellent and plentiful, providing enough energy for the morning. The location is convenient, close to the beach and not far from the expanded area. However, it can get a bit "lively" at night, so I'd advise women not to travel alone (it's safe during the day, but keep an eye on your bag). There's a small convenience store nearby (a bit pricey), and a Carrefour a few hundred meters away. The housekeeping was prompt, and although the room was small, it was very clean. The air conditioning was very strong, almost too cold, as it's a central AC system. The bathroom had a wet/dry separation, and the hot water was excellent. There's a luggage room for storage.

Location was perfect for a group of tourists, for someone like me. It wasn’t perfect since I don’t like that mass tourism stuff much. Other than that, a good hotel, nice clean and spacious room.

Location is very good just off Rambla so very central. Reception is ok, rooms are quite small and while we had requested a quiet room and the team did make an effort to accommodate us, the rooms are not well insulated in terms of acoustics so you literally hear the water pipes flushing from other rooms and any other room door closing and opening. The AC is set to 19 degrees Celsius so the room is either cold like a fridge or in case you turn it off gets very warm. Bathrooms are simple and clean, the door was squeaky so if anyone needs to use the bathroom in the night the rest will likely wake up too ;-). No kettle or coffee machine in the room. Breakfast comes with a canteen atmosphere, it’s noisy and feels crowded, variety is limited and this was the only hotel in Spain we encountered which didn’t offer fresh fruit for breakfast. Other than that it’s a decent place to stay at.

The old lady with glasses at the front desk was terrible and had a bad attitude. She refused visitors without reason and lied.

Great location a very short walk from lots of cafes, bara, restaurants and shops. Excellent service throughout and basic but clean rooms. Breakfast is a great bonus. Would highly recommend for a short stay in Barcelona.

The hotel is in a great location. Although it's in the Gothic Quarter, it's also near Eixample, so the area is relatively safe. The subway is only about a five-minute walk away. There was a minor hiccup at the hotel. After checking in and dropping off my luggage, I left. When I returned that evening, I discovered the air conditioning in my room wasn't working, with a persistent error message. The room wasn't airy to begin with, and the AC wasn't cooling, making it very stuffy and hot. I went down to the front desk, and the first time, they said they'd reset it, but it didn't work, and the error message persisted. The second time, they came back up to check the AC, but the error message persisted. The third time, I was a little disappointed, so the front desk moved us to a different room and checked the AC, which was fine. This resolved the issue. The hotel includes breakfast, which was quite good. While the selection wasn't particularly diverse, the food was delicious. Overall, aside from the AC issue, everything else was fine.
