My friend was rushed into hospital late at night and obviously I stayed with her. On my return to hotel at 8am after sitting in urgent care whilst my friend was admitted for medical assistance , I asked if I could have a little extra time to sort out my friends packing and my own . Also time to shower as I had been in a hospital all night supporting my friend
The man named Roger seemed oblivious to my request and said no
I asked again and he said if you pay another night I will allow it . I only wanted a little time to rest and get myself together to get back to my friend . Roger gave me an extra half hour and I was called from room with 2 sets of luggage and without any acknowledgment to my friends well being or my own . He came across as very rude and arrogant. I was very upset as spending the night in emergencies was very stressful for us both . We did not spend a night at the hotel as circumstances changed with my friend being rushed to hospital
I understand policy but a little understanding and empathy go a long way . As I left the hotel he didn’t acknowledge myself or ask if my friend was ok . The other staff were wonderful , sadly Roger lacked all things to be front of house .
