Weflating City Center

Booked a 3rd floor appt for a group of friends and found it to be spacious and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was more than functional with a coffee machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, ample sized fridge and dishwasher. There was even a washing machine in a store cupboard. Appt comprised 3 bedrooms - 2 doubles, 2 singles with 2 good sized bathrooms which had great showers. The appt faced the rear of the building which was fine as it was very quiet at night and we all got some well needed rest. We were able to walk to las ramblas (south) and Sagrada Familia (north) so found the location great, plus we had open top bus tickets and the nearest stop was only a couple of blocks away. There are 24hr supermarkets very nearby but we used the local Mercadona which provided all our catering needs. We were told we could leave our suitcases in the concierge space round the side of the lift on our last day as we had a late flight, so we did just that. Unfortunately nobody informed us when they moved them into the adjacent locked office so we initially thought they had been stolen. The male who eventually arrived to help then wanted some form of ticket from us. Anyway, after a google translate chat we managed to get our belongings after much reassurance that they were ours. Overall, we were pleased with the accommodation and would recommend it for groups as it was nice to be able to relax in the evening with a glass of wine and some local nibbles.

Stayed here for a week and it was great. Spacious and clean room with a tidy communal kitchen setup which we did use a lot. There is a great Trader Joes style food market across the street that had all we needed. The other great thing about this place is the location. Nice and close to most of the known sights by foot.

The space was really nice and well decorated. I stayed in a two person room with a bunk bed. It is a really small room, but that was somewhat expected. The sheets felt very cheap and frequently came off of the bed, which was a little annoying. The kitchenette was really nice to microwave and make quick breakfasts and snacks. I used the dining room to do work a lot which was also nice, but the staff was honestly so incredibly rude. One cleaner would constantly glare and shake his head at me when I was using the kitchen. My friend was using the communal bathroom, when a staff member walked in on her and then yelled at her and followed her out yelling at her while she walked back to her room. The coffee would run out because there was a lot of people staying there and when we asked them for more, they told us we need to buy our own since we're staying here too long. The space was nice, but the staff were just unacceptably rude.

I have to say, when you arrive outside you may wonder what you've booked as the street (to be honest as it seems with many streets like it across the whole city) doesn't look like much but when you go inside the main door, it's a beautiful marble floor, extremely clean with a stairwell and lift in front of you. The communal areas are extremely clean and the decor is lovely. There are plenty of things like knives, forks, dishes, cups and plates. A couple of dishwashers as well as fridges and freezers should you wish to get food from the many little supermarkets around and store it. The room we had was lovely and clean in keeping with the rest if the place and functional. The air conditioning was simple to use and not noisy at all like some can be. The beds  are ridiculously comfy (so much I have asked what mattresses they use) and clean too. The only thing that I think maybe needs looking at, is that the doors do not have inside locks on, so you can't stop anyone who has a card coming in. Usually you'd think this wouldn't be much of an issue but I think it would / should be a great addition but the design of some of the rooms mean that if you go in, anyone in the area around your door can see right into your room which isn't great if someone has just got out of the shower and someone else using the room just walks in! If it's there, at least it means a knock is needed so whoever may need to come in. This did happen to us, the concierge knocked and a second later walked in and we were still in bed! The apartments are situated perfectly for EVERYTHING , slap bang in the middle between 2 big city attractions, La Rambla and Sagrada Familia and metro lines that can take you anywhere else.
