Bargara Beach Hotel Motel

The food is pretty good but it is so crowded and noisy at this holiday time of year that it rather spoils the experience. And yes the wait time in the queue for meals was long. The staff are as helpful they can be under the circumstances.

Terrible service from the girl that took my food order. Tasteless Peri Peri chicken. Undecided if the extended wait for food surpassed the disappoin**ent of the actual food. Gravies and sauces were comparable to dish water. For a place that has prime location for the area it disappoints on most levels.

First impressions were good. Welcomed by friendly bar staff on a very busy stormy weather night! We managed to find a table and were enjoying ourselves…until a lady.? With a security shirt on asked us if we could move so 4 people could have our table? Really? This also meant that a couple of guys had to move to let us sit near them. Total shambles. We just drank and left. Hopefully if we won the raffle for the marine rescue which we fully supported somebody deserving would receive it and not the ‘security lady’! Very disappointed. We hope management have a look at this. It was a busy night but I think our trea**ent and the other guys was unacceptable!

Had a great night, bar staff were excellent, and drinks were quick. Food was delicious to. Visiting for the Lighthouse Rock festival, definitely call in there again. Pretty extensive menu to choose from.

Firstly I want to say, the staff were great and the a**osphere was relaxing. However, I'm sorry to say my meal was average. I ordered barramundi and chips. I guess I got exactly that. The fish was lovely but the presentation was a bit to be desired. No sauces, no salad, just a piece of pan fried fish and chips. I later found out that if you want salad, you pay extra. Surely a basic meal like that would come with salad. I took a photo after a couple of bites of my fish. Not bad tasting, but a lot of people eat with their eyes first, and unfortunately it did not present well.

We have been here numerous times over the years & find it’s getting more expensive with each visit. Paying $28 for a beer & a glass of wine is excessive when we can visit other venues & get two shouts for the one we get here. We both had snitz, chips & salad for dinner which was nice, but $4 each for a dribble of gravy is ridiculous… we appreciate everything has increased but $56 for the above meals is ridiculous. Sorry guys we won’t be back in the near future

Average, very average. Disappointing. Both meals were seriously bad, we won't be back. Service was no better, they couldn't care less if you were there or not. Thought it may have improved, but unfortunately not. Great spot, just a very average pub.

We ate at the Bistro at Bagara Beach Hotel because it had been recommended by someone who had been there years ago. We waited more than an hour for our food to arrive. My serve of "seafood and spaghetti" had less seafood than an entree ( 4 prawns 2 small *****s of calamari and 2 Mussels) served on spaghetti with little flavour. And it wasn't cheap $35. Won't go there again.

A bit disappointed in the meals on this occasion. Were here a few years back and I think the standards have dropped. The seafood spaghetti whilst tasty and had 3 prawns, 3 slices calamari, 2 mussels and 2 scallops , the amount of very nicely cookef spaghetti was a little light on, and I'm a small eater and for the $35, I thought they could have been a little more generous with the spaghetti. The serve of vegetables and mashed potatoes for $4.90 and $5.90 was very meagre for the price. The chicken wings were okay but I'm not sure about the spice flour coating mix which I was not a fan of . Unfortunately I think costs of food, labour, electricity etc are going to be impacting even more on the food service industry, and for such places to survive, I think there will be more of either higher prices or smaller serves.
