The hotel is very up to par very cleanly very nice and neat very quiet not a lot of noise but the best part about the hotel is the breakfast!!!!!

The room was a good size and clean however:
The bedding was very poor quality - 3 small lumpy pillows, a top sheet and a thin blanket. It was cold in the room and the bed really needed a quilt. We turned the heating up but that made the room stuffy. We really prefer to have a cool room but good bedding to keep warm
The shower head in the bathroom was ridiculously small and the water was warm rather than hot (even at the highest setting
Breakfast on Sunday was from 6.30am to 9.30am. I'm not sure how many people need Breakfast at 6.30am on a Sunday but that seems excessively early. It would be better to run from 7.00am to 10.00am. We didn't make it to breakfast as it was too early for us

Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Great breakfast. Top of the line in Barstow in my opinion. Bed was nice and comfortable. Good restaurants across and down the street. Really liked Los Domingos.

My stay at California Inn was intriguing and mostly pleasant. The standout feature was a massive cactus beside the hotel, impressively towering over the two-story structure.
A notable highlight in the room was the presence of two sinks – one inside and one outside the bathroom. This thoughtful touch greatly enhanced convenience, especially for families, allowing simultaneous use for morning routines.
The breakfast selection was impressive, offering a wide variety of foods that catered to different tastes.
However, the lack of an elevator in this two-story building posed a slight challenge, particularly since our room was on the second floor. I encountered a small bug in the shower cube, which wasn’t a major concern for me.
Overall, California Inn presented a unique and comfortable stay, albeit with a few minor drawbacks that could be improved upon for an even better experience.

It was a small hotel but was great. The breakfast was good too for a hotels in this price range. No carpet so the room was clean. Just wished we had more pillows. The front desk attendant was very helpful when we checked in late night. The backyard was actually beautiful with trees.

The fact that the Inn sets below the highway, as well as on the downward side of Main St., means that we didn't have a lot of road noise, which was much appreciated! The room was small, but the bed was comfortable, and we slept well. We appreciated the microwave and mini-refrigerator as we were able to warm up and eat our Las Vegas leftovers for dinner. Breakfast, unfortunately, was only luke-warm, but the coffee was good, and we were able to get back on the road quickly.

Front desk was friendly and efficient. We appreciated the various entrances to the building. I liked that the room doors were inside the building. We didn’t worry about parking being secure. The room was clean and comfortable. There were 2 waters in the fridge. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet. Temperature was easy to control. Hot water to shower in the morning. Spacious tub. Delicious breakfast. We would stay here again.
