"The hotel looks more modern. Everything is clean, and the receptionists provide a nice touch when we checked it. The receptionists explain everything about the hotel even some provide a recommendation to nearby grilled fish restaurant that we tried and were happy with the recommendations. We only stayed for a night, but it feels like this Mercure should be the standard of any other Mercure outside the big city. Bed is comfortable. Food and breakfast are ok, although price a bit pricey but not extremely pricey. We tried the pool, which quite nice but not too big. Like everything else in Pangkalan Bun, the hotel is just 20 minutes away from the airport. They offer drop off service to the airport, but we didn’t take it because the price is too steep. We end up using some online taxi hailing app that cost 1/4 of their service."

"Booked a double studio room, it turns out it doesn't have an en suite bathroom, just for the experience.. the location is very strategic though.. only because the bathroom is outside.. so the bathroom is not very clean.. even though the room is clean, the AC is also cold.."

"The hotel facilities are good, the exterior wall is Dutch style, and the air is fresh. The only problem is that the hotel's WIFI signal is a bit poor, and it was intermittent throughout the night. The hotel is not too far from the airport."
