The more expensive room type was actually smaller, it just had a balcony. The white curtains let in too much light; I suggest changing them to a darker color. Everything else was fine.

Perfect for a short trip, with good transport links. Nice apartments and a rooftop pool. The building is well-maintained.

I really liked the room. It had a mini-kitchen and a comfortable mattress. I also appreciated the adjustable blinds and the excellent shower room, which came with 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner (though it was a bit hard to squeeze out). Having a fridge, iron, and ironing board was a big plus. My only minor complaint was that I couldn't figure out how to turn off the accent lighting without turning off all the power in the room, and it was a bit disruptive to sleep.

We liked the location of where we stayed. However, the digital services were quite exhausting; not being able to speak to a person during the check-in process was difficult for us. Not everyone is expected to know English at a high level. We were able to respond to emails because I was traveling with my wife, a retired English teacher. This is a big problem! They ask too many questions and demand too much information, which we found excessive and tiring. There's no flexibility at all in their service; they are very rigid and sell their rooms at a rather high price.

The apartment is very well located, not far from Basel SBB station. The area isn't particularly beautiful, but from here you can easily reach the station (which is strategic if you arrive at the airport by bus that goes directly to the station) and it's not too far from the city center (15 min walk or more comfortably by tram from the station). The property is new, in good condition, with easy self check-in (just a code to open both the main door and the apartment). The apartment is small but functional, with a double bed, a kitchen with essentials, a bathroom with a large shower, and a windowed terrace. It's quite comfortable, although the pillows are almost non-existent and therefore quite uncomfortable. There's no option for a lighter blanket (only a duvet). In the kitchen, sponges were missing, and in the bathroom, shampoo and shower gel. All in all, for Basel's prices and standards, it's an excellent accommodation. The only drawback is the complete absence of customer service (there's no reception); even if you email them, they don't reply. We wanted to get the Basel Card (which you are entitled to if you stay in Basel and pay the tourist tax, and it offers discounts at museums as well as free public transport!), which we should have received via email. However, we hadn't received it (so much so that on the first day we paid for transport from the airport, which is usually included)... despite many emails, we never got a reply, so we contacted the city's tourist office, who responded immediately and pointed out that the Basel Cards might have ended up in spam (this probably happens often) and that they are sent by the tourist office itself. This lack of response to emails from the property really put us in a difficult situation and we found it unprofessional.
