I understand that temperatures in Bath were extraordinary, but the hotel has no AC, so our room was unbearable. We were asked on check-in if we preferred a room with a view, or a cooler room, we requested a cooler room. I don't know how people coped with the rooms with a view. We also paid for breakfast for 2 for both mornings, we did not receive it. I don't know if you have to ask at reception for it, but there was rarely anybody in attendance, so we went next door to Wetherspoons instead. Check out was 12 pm, we left around 7.30am due to lack of sleep, not ideal when you have a 4 hour journey ahead. Overall not a pleasant experience.

Disgusting - hairs in the sheets and in the mugs. Just gave us a new sheet. The desk was filthy and the room generally looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. And for £180! When we complained they offered us a free breakfast with our next stay. Never staying with Travelodge again!!

Room was dirty, obviously hadnt been cleaned properly for a while. The bathroom absolutley stunk of dam/musky smell. The taps and shower hadnt seen a clean cloth in months, and I am not joking.

It depends what you are looking for. The Irish girl who I suspect was the manager was lovely. It’s a bit up hill but accessible. The room was clean. No room service but I did a quick whip round before we went out. The negative reviews are unfair. The reception and screen look like you are arriving at a probation service and that needs sorting. But actually it was fine.

The company I work for stay in a hotel 5 nights a week as we travel for work, this hotel is not far from the worst, we stay in the Bath Travelodge near the canal a lot but they were full. Staff were friendly enough at Central but there is a screen at reception probably from the Covid days, this doesn't give the impression of a welcome. Mr room the lock didnt work well and made it difficult to get in, there was an extractor from Wagamamas next door running over my room and it was loud until after 11pm, there were numerous stains on the carpet from coffee to blond to a mysterious white stain on the seats. My colleagues room wasn't ready and we arrived at 10.30pm. If you want a central hotel this is A1 for that but for anything else this is terrible, so loud from the bars below so not real sleep until about 3am, there are better and we will not be returning. Sorry travelodge.

Would not recommend, unmanned reception and when manager arrived, after a phone call, was very unhelpful. Given key fobs that didn't work several times. Mattresses absolutely disgusting, no sheets or mattress protector, mattress was a health hazzard, blood amongst other things. Changed rooms as first room was so disgusting, second room not much better, rang number on reception for new bedding and was asked why i was checking the mattress after they knew of issues with first beds/mattress. After our first room I would advise you do the same. New bedding supplied. 2nd room we had was a room for 4 people, pratically no storage, 6 hangers to share. Aircon not working. Beside drink stand filty. All reported, apparently being looked into. First hotel i have been to where ghey dont hold your luggage if your early, just want to charge you an early check in fee. Travdlodge have previously had my review removed saying i had posted it a restaurants site!! Just to be clear ghis review is for Travelodge Bath Central.

Two rooms booked at Bath Central and both rooms were very shabby and poorly maintained with dirty carpets, walls and bathroom floors with bad smelling shower curtains and such low water pressure in the shower it was difficult to shower properl. The Other room had similar issue but also questionable stains over the side of the bed. If these rooms were featured on "Four in a bed I would hate to see what else would have been found!! I will definitely give this particular Travel lodge a miss. A great shame as I used to use travel lodge quite a bit when I traveled for my work. Things have certainly gone down hill in the lastc3 years!
