Bath Breaks Apartments

Cosy little place. We were comfortable and it's located in a very safe accessible location!!!

I stayed at 4 locations during my UK trip and the two nights here were the worst. I had done my booking via an agent. I had categorically asked for an apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Now this apartment has one common red door. You climb up the stairs and there are two doors. One, apartment # 16. Second, apartment # 16A. Both the apartment have completely different layout. The latter one has 2 bath, much bigger apartment while former is literally a hole in the wall with 1 bath. The price difference between the two is just 20 GBP a night. I paid my agent basis the bigger apartment and they have confirmation from the platform that we got the bigger one. They have proof of the same. When we checked in, we got the keys to the smaller apartment. On bringing to the owners attention he said there may have been a mistake by my agent and the larger apartment has been booked by someone else. So while I'm figuring who is to be blamed, I put an international travel adapter in one of the sockets and the lights went off! Pls note I have used this adapter across UK at many places and did so even after this event. We waited for the manager to arrive and while he tried to figure out he told us to use the larger apartment for the night and return to our allotted apartment before noon next day. We thanked our bad luck for atleast one night we will be able to sleep well. We went for dinner and returned back to be told that the lights are up and we can't use the larger apartment! So absolutely no recourse for the lost time and the inconvenience. We wanted to charge our phones but couldn't because the owner asked us not to use. No shops were open to buy a local charger neither did the owner have one. The owner said another previous international traveller also faced the same issue so yea this place doesn't support international adapters. This is very imp to note because we literally didn't have operational phones when we woke up next morning. One of us slept on the sofa cum bed in the miniscule living room which is so small that if you open the sofa cum bed there is literally no way to walk around. Moreover the quality of sofa cum bed is so bad you can literally feel the springs on your back. On booking platform the listing doesn't say that one has 1 bath and the other has 2. It shows size of apartments. Don't fall for the 20 GBP less trap. Go for the bigger one but incase ur gonna use the sofa cum bed, pls ensure the quality is much better than the smaller 20 GBP cheaper apartment. Lastly carry your charged power bank or a lower charger if ur an international traveller.
