Ocean Blue is a medium size resort. Not small. Not huge like Iberostar. However it has lots of fine dining (5) onsite just like the huge ones. Their beach is perfect with lots of free cabana like shaded seating. Only surprise was our scuba shop was onsite but actual dive boat was 2 resorts down the beach at Iberostar. A 10 minute walk, no problem. This side of island a bit choppy for diving. Smoother on South side. Resort super clean, safe and friendly staff. More young families and older couples. No Spring Break teens! Highly recommend this resort for families.

Great location on one of the best beaches in Punta Cana, beautiful landscaping, good and large pools, the square where the themed restaurants are located is simply beautiful, each restaurant has its own character and best of all, you don't need to book in advance!
Point to improve: at the end of the week, there was an excess of guests, there was no food at all meals and the hall was very busy. The food is also quite simple.

Beautiful and very clean place! We had a great time. We loved the entertainment group, they work very hard day/night to keep guests happy. Food is delicious. Pools and beach areas were wonderful. Quiet and peaceful at nighttime. The only problem we had was that our flight got delayed there until next day and the resort gave away our rooms. It took over a hour to find rooms that were comparable. It could have been a huge issue since we were staying a full week. We had even called them to say we were coming the next day. That didn’t work at all. But we did have a wonderful time once we were there.

My wife and I spent four nights here with our two children, ages 5 and 10 and we all absolutely loved it. The staff were all incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating (specifically Nelson Batista and Alvaro Jimenez). The property is clean and well maintained. Rooms are spacious and nicely updated.The food in each of the restaurants is tasty with plenty of options. The pools were the highlights for our family, although the beach is beautiful as well. The nightly entertainment was fantastic—specifically the fire show and Michael Jackson concert. The value at this resort is unmatched. We will return.

Great stay except for the time share type thing at the beginning. Dining options are good but the specialty dining reservations system is ridiculous who wants to get up at 7 am on vacation to make a dinner reservation! Staff for the most part are very attentive especially bartenders in the sports bar! Good value for price all in all.

Ocean Blue & Sand resort is a 3-star ADULT ONLY hotel, but not a luxury, FAMILY-ORIENTED property they and ******* position themselves to be. This resort worse than the other places we stayed at before when in DR. We also stayed at another H10 property last year and it was considerably better than this one. What was good about Ocean Blue & Sand: the grounds (well kept, easily navigated, having a flamingo walking the grounds was a nice touch), the food (this resort does dessert particularly well, but the need to up their game when it comes to salads), the location (quick ride from the airport). What was not so good: the service (dining hall was seemingly understaffed as it took a while to get water/drinks/coffee; insistence of staff on high-fiving/feast bumping guests, kids in particular – why?; expectation of tipping, our concierge service completely useless – we texted asking for a stepstool for our daughter and never heard anything back or got it in our room), the pool (drink glasses floating right in the water, tiles missing from the bottom), the entertainment (very adult/couples-focused, very little for the kids in the evenings, although one night a bouncy castle and slide were brought it which was great to see and very enjoyable to the kids). What was bad: room condition and cleaning. Our room in building 5 was dated, with broken furniture, and not exceptionally clean when we arrived. In spite of daily cleaning, it still felt dirty. There were roaches in the bathroom.
