Stayed at The Grand Palladium Palace for 10 nights. The resort complex is big and the grounds well maintained. However, there are things that need to improve. Let’s start with the positives: Large well maintained grounds, the gardeners work so very hard to keep the grounds looking good. Excellent WiFi throughout the resort Coffee bar in the lobby was great Buffet good choice of food if just a bit repetitive Some of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Things that need improving Restaurant booking - you’re supposed to be able to make your bookings via the app. We only managed to book one during our stay, for the rest we went to guest relations. Room cleaning - throughout our stay our room wasn’t cleaned until late in the afternoon. Virtually everyday I had to go and find the maid to ask for towels as she kept forgetting to leave them. Also had to ask for toilet rolls!! Negatives: Timeshare sellers - on the day we checked in after a very long journey one introduced himself as our personal concierge and wanted to make sure we had a wonderful time. He arranged to meet us for lunch the next day and said he wanted to show us around. Once I got to the room my brain kicked in and I realised in was time share pitch , we weren’t interested so didn’t turn up to lunch. What I found quite shocking was he came and found us round the pool and was extremely aggressive saying we’d wasted his time. I told him he wasted our time as he was actually trying to sell us time share. He eventually left. The next day another guy approached us in the lobby, again he said we’d wasted their time the day before and went on and on. I again said you’re trying to sell me timeshare, and I’m not interested. After going back and forth he did admit they were selling time share. He wouldn’t leave us alone. The only way I could get him to go was by raising my voice. The hotel knows this goes on and doesn’t seem to care. Shower - the shower is above the bath. Not a problem I hear you say but I had to use a wooden step that was at the side of the bath, to enable me to sit on the side then swing my legs over the wide ledge to get in. It’s an absolute ridiculous set up, someone is going to get badly hurt if it hasn’t happened already. The maid pulled the shower holder off the wall and left it on the side of the bath, my husband had to put it back temporarily. Air conditioning - the air conditioning in the room isn’t very good and struggles to keep the room cool. Staff - some of the staff are extremely polite and helpful, others, it’s like you’re an inconvenience to them. Day visitors - like a lot of hotels they allow day visitors which normally isn’t an issue. However, here there were so many of them on Saturday and Sunday, the pool, bars and buffets were literally taken over. If the hotel is going to continue this practice day visitor numbers should be restricted. Summary We had a nice holiday but there are many things the hotel needs to do to improve it. Woul

The resort is beautiful and the buffet offers many international selections. Bed is comfy and food/drink in the mini bar is restocked daily. Beach is beautiful and the water temperature is perfect. Downside to the beach is there are people trying to sell jewelry to parasailing. They respond well to no thank you. There are many pools to choose from, some are a bit too warm to even be refreshing and seemed to be closed every other day due to a child having an accident. The entertainment team is great and the shows each night displayed amazing talent that never ceases to amaze. Vidal the bartender in the palace lobby is very friendly and treats you like you are his friend, oh and his drinks are always amazing and he’ll even customize a drink just for you. Overall our stay was great. Would definitely come again and stay at another Grand Palladium resort.

We had the best time! Spent 10 days in Palace and it was amazing! We have such a great time at the pool with Pop entertainment! Vladimir with pop was amazing! The bartenders and waitstaff were spot on! Rooms were very clean and the cleaning staff and mini bar guys took great care of us! Would totally recommend 100%

Lovely resort grounds very well kept,staff extremely friendly,the only thing that lets it down is all the food in the buffet restaurant is stone cold,the bar service at the bar are very good,didn’t have to get off my sunbed at all,big shout out to Ramon,didn’t even ask for a drink but he knew what we wanted and he kept us topped up.

hotel service great. restaurant service from great to average depends on the day. bartenders great, chefs great. room nice. room service great. pool activities great! photos with parrots great. 7 days passed like a quick dream. trip to the island of Saoma great.

Overall Expierence was great. Just many little things that started to add up especially with Room. Safe lost power 3x. Struggle to get mini fridge replenished. room cleaning very inconsistent. Other then that the property is bueutiful. The wedding went perfect. Staff for the most part is very helpful. Some people that are allowed to set up tables to set jewerly in vacinity of main lobby are too pushy and wont take no as a anwser.

Trip was nice. Beach was lovely. Rooms were dated. Upgrades happening throughout resort were welcomed and needed but noisy. Food was always fresh, service was very nice!!! Buffets were crowded but accommodating. Would recommend for singles, friends, families. Tipping goes a LONG way!!!!! Especially for a ride. More trains would be welcomed.

Rude staff if you do not speak the language, lack of drawer space in room, took 3 visits to reception to get a hairdryer, safe did not work. Al a carte restaurants were very poor. On the plus side rooms clean, excellent kept gardens and pool area. Micheal the pool server gave excellent service, nothing was too much trouble

Rude sales people all over the place pushing you to buy stuff of them including inside the resort one guy told me he’s from Haiti and tried to sell me cheap Chinese bracelet for $160 on my way to restaurant . Pestered me into buying it even though I have told him I don’t have time and please don’t ruin my holiday. Saona island which is sold by a guy who’s a partner with the resort wasn’t any good at all. The island is incredibile and gorgeous but people trying to sell you pictures ? Run away for them . They’ll charge you $260 for 15 pictures…

We stayed at the Palace and it was outstanding. Buffets for lunch and breakfast were good but the a la carte restaurants for dinner were great. In general, the rooms are clean, service was very good and the pools and beach fantastic. So much to see and do, but we spent most days on the beach near the beach bar. Only negative was the hard-sell timeshare presentation we got when we said yes to a guided tour of the resort. Avoid - a waste of valuable beach time [and no tour either!]
