Reviews of Econo Lodge Beaumont I-10 South

I wrote this review previously, but somehow it got connect to another hotel, where I have not stayed. Since I have stayed at this Econo Lodge many times since the earlier review, including this week, I am repeating the review here: I seldom have an even better experience than I expected, but it happened here. I read previous reviews and was skeptical, but discovered they were warranted. Friendly staff, comfortable bed, clean overall, and more well appointed than I expected. Even the continental breakfast surprised me -- a waffle iron, good choice of cereal, muffins, juice. Not everything was perfect, but even with a few minor room issues, I absolutely will be staying at the Beaumont Econo Lodge again.

Customer service was awful. They acted like they didn't want to be there. Not recommended that you hire relatives that don't do well with the public. The rooms smelled. Made reservations and when you get there it's not what pictures say.

Easy access from the interstate for a late night arrival on a roadtrip. No port cochere to park under in rain at entrance. Uncomfortable with front desk wanting to copy drivers license. No hot water in the bathroom sink; had to wash face using water from tub. We only needed a fast overnight and the bed was clean and comfortable. Offering for breakfast was minimal and unappealing.

the only good was the price. loud and run down. highway is next. is more an elderly motel than a hotel. smells a bit. breakfast was the cheapeast stuff you could imagine. it looks really worse, and it is.
