Cozy and well run hotel. It is close to everything, and only minutes away from the slopes. We have been coming back for many years. Many thanks to Jackie at the front desk who this year as always has made our experience special and personalized !

This is a sad story, but my wife passed away in a mountaineering accident close to the hotel. My family stayed here the night of, while navigating deep sadness and grief, including having to meet with the Sheriffs office and Coroner, huge shoutout to: Gaaby Maya Brian Vel Jaclyn As well as the restaurant staff that worked that evening. These members of the staff went above and beyond to care for my family and provide truly excellent and empathetic hospitality. Truly first class, thank you Beaver Creek Lodge
Response from Property: Dear Daniel Y; I am so sorry for your loss. I am comforted that was doing something that she loved. We pride ourselves on delivering genuine friendly guest service and hope that it helped in a terribly difficult situation. I hope that you and your family will be able to come to terms with this loss. All the best, Paul A. Jeppson, General Manager

Book somewhere else. It’s old and gross and the rudest hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. I am a travel agent and have booked thousands of trips for my clients all over the world and I can honestly say I’ve never been treated with more disrespect. The staff is toxic. And the property is old and smelly and not worth your money. Details to follow… We pulled in and there was a huge line for valet we couldn’t even get in the driveway. There was one worker working valet and he was quite overwhelmed. We went to check in and the credit card processor was broken so check in took about 25 minutes (on top of waiting 20 minutes for valet). We found out the pool was closed (on a holiday weekend!) and being repainted. Instead of getting champagne at entry we got bottles of water (there’s really no wow factor here). The gym is small and unimpressive. The rooms have a horrible old musty smell and there’s windows from every room into the hallways which is odd. The bathroom vanity has absolutely no space to store anything. The lock entry to our room was fussy - took me 3 minutes to get in. They took away the water refill station in the lobby (although I only saw it empty anyway) and charge $5 for water in the room. We asked to leave because the pool was closed and not advertised, to which they agreed to let us leave without penalty multiple times. But then alas they charged us a penalty and are refusing to take it off the card. So that penalty is $350 approximately and now I hope they lose thousands in business for it. Overall I am so confused why the reviews for this place are so high. They must be paying people to write them. I would not recommend a visit to anyone and will certainly never book my clients here. Go to the Park Hyatt down the street - MUCH nicer and they have very kind staff.

Short and sweet- After a not so good stay at another Marriott property I decided I needed to start writing reviews. Hotel was in a good location, the overall experience was just ok, it was dark and depressing, the gym was nice though. I know we went at a busy time (NYE) the breakfast buffet was boring and not good at all. A la carte menu was not available which was very upsetting.
Response from Property: Dear Nijil - I am sorry that we were not able to connect when you were here during New Years Eve almost 6 months ago. During the holiday period we have so many families that have children going to ski school early we present a buffet so they can get to ski school on time. During non holiday periods we offer the a la carte menu. I am sorry we did not have that available during your stay. I do hope you will stay with us again during a period that we are operating our a la carte menu. All the best, Paul A. Jeppson General Manager, Beaver Creek Lodge

WOW! This place is amazing. I had a wonderful 3 night stay during the slow season and it was absolutely impressive and stunning. Beaver Creek is a great place for families, singles traveling alone, or a romantic couple get away. Check in was smooth, the staff was incredible and welcoming. Jackie at the front desk went above and beyond to make this stay memorable and special.
Response from Property: 51haleys - Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent stay at the Beaver Creek Lodge. We pride ourselves on delivering genuine friendly guest service. Jackie will be recognized for her outstanding service. If your travels bring you back to Beaver Creek we hope you will join us again at the Beaver Creek Lodge. All the best, Paul A. We had a wonderful one week stay in a one bedroom suite at this property. Very clean and nicely decorated like all of the other Kessler properties. Small, only 63 rooms. We stayed in a spacious one bedroom suite with a creekside view. The hotel is located very close to the gondola and lifts. I have to mention how great the staff at this hotel is. The service was outstanding. Paula, the front desk supervisor did an amazing job setting everything up prior to our trip. Mika the front desk agent (and apreś ski bartender) really made our trip special. She was so inviting and accommodating. We looked forward every day to apreś ski to spend time with her. Definitely recommend.

Your comments regarding Paula and Mika are wonderful examples and we will personally acknowledge their contribution. We hope to see you return in the near future. All the best! Paul A. Giving 2 stars for constant hyping of ski in ski out. Despite management’s attempt to defend their marketing, guests do not view this as a ski in ski out resort. Stayed a week during ski season, didn’t see a single guest “ski in ski out.” This may also explain why there are no photos on the hotel website of the ski in ski out feature. Unclear why management is more interested in attracting new guests than reflecting on the many complaints from prior guests about no ski in ski out. In particular surprising coming from a Marriott branded luxury hotel. However, the ski storage is very convenient and the short walk to the base of the mountain [with very useful escalators] is very easy. Otherwise would have rated the hotel highly.
Response from Property: Dear TEEEEE2, I am sorry that you feel we are hyping ski in and ski out at the Beaver Creek Lodge. We do have reasonable ski in and ski out access from the hotel. You can go out the front of the hotel and put your skis on across the street, and ski down to the Elkhorn lift. Our staff encourages our guests who pick up their skis at the ski valet on the second floor to exit the hotel and cross the Covered Bridge to the escalators and the Centennial Lift. This provides a much experience for that guest as this is where the primary services are located and the main mountain lift. Thank you for coming to the Beaver Creek Lodge and we hope to see you again this season. Paul A. Jeppson General Manager

The Beaver Creek Lodge is part of Marriott's "Autograph Collection." I love Marriott for the excellent service and usually consistent quality of the rooms. For that reason, the Beaver Creek Lodge, Autograph Collection was a slight disappointment from the perfection I have come to expect from previous Marriott stays. Lobby staff (valet) and Front desk staff were all excellent; very welcoming, very helpful, very friendly -- exactly what I've come to expect from Marriott hotels in America, Asia, Europe, South America, etc. View in common area was great - common area were all beautiful. Warning: "Creek View" from our first floor room was NOT worth the extra we paid for the "creek view." We could technically see the small creek out back, but only barely from a corner of the window -- I felt so silly paying the bit extra after I opened the curtain and "found" the creek. Room looked good and was of a comfy size (albeit "cozy"). However, the heater did not work our first two nights, so we couldn't get a good sleep until we realized the heater was broken and asked for maintenance to fix it -- then the temperature became very comfortable at night. Bathroom shower must have been renovated or built by an incompetent contractor -- the shower pan was sloped improperly AND the seal around the shower door was not installed and caulked properly, causing water to pool on the wrong end of the shower and leak all over the bathroom floor and onto the carpet in the room... We had to point the shower head as close to the control wall as possible to avoid flooding the carpet outside the bathroom -- UGH. Cleaning/housekeeping staff were the least friendly staff I had ever encountered at any Marriott hotel: they just grunted or gave me a mean look when I pass by and give them a friendly (smile on my face) "good morning" or "hi." And they do a poor job stocking the rooms forgetting to put in hand towels or just plain not stocking enough for a family of four when they do come in for cleaning. Bar staff was very friendly - Karen was especially helpful and friendly the couple of times we visited. It was a pleasure sitting by the bar. Restaurant food was OK -- staff was helpful/friendly. Food was both s-l-o-w from the kitchen and lower quality than expected. (I know it was the kitchen's slowness and not the server because we watched Karen bring our food as soon as it was available at the counter to her.) I had actually booked a table for Christmas dinner, but on one of the prior evenings, my wife and I sat at the bar, and we ordered one chicken dish for her. We sat and watched the full staff in the kitchen rush around like they were under a lot of stress even though the restaurant had only a few tables occupied. Our food came out almost 45 minutes later with slightly undercooked chicken. We were very surprised because we saw what we thought was a lot more staff in the kitchen than for a restaurant the size of the Alpine + Antlers, so we had expected at

We chose to vacation in Beaver Creek after reading several articles calling it one of the best places to vacation for beginner skiers. My family and I had only skied a few times and really wanted to stay in a resort where we could learn and where logistics were easy. Beaver Creek Lodge delivered that. The location was perfect, rooms were above average (we stayed in a suite), service was great, and everything was convenient. Ski rental is on site at Christy's or a very short walk (2 - 3 min max) to Epic Mountain Rentals. Even if you don't rent from Christy's, the resort will store your gear overnight which was great for us. There is no shortage of equipment rental and attire in the village, which is all within a very short walking distance. Slope access is also a very short walk and made easy by escalators. I was worried about the logistics of it all since we didn't really know the drill, but staying here made it quite seamless. If you're going to Beaver Creek to learn to ski, this a great place to do it. I would also highly recommend booking a ski lesson at Beaver Creek ski school. Our instructor was beyond wonderful and she helped facilitate an amazing day on the slopes for our family.
Response from Property: Dear julessdF3136UD, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent experience at the Beaver Creek Lodge. My wife and I were visiting Beaver Creek to celebrate her birthday and to enjoy the changing colors while hiking. As Bonvoy members, we selected the BC Lodge given its convenient location. We were welcomed warmly by the GM Paul, and his team. Our room was well-appointed, and breakfast at the restaurant was yummy. Champagne at check-in, warm cookies in the afternoon and an evening wine tasting made us feel so cared for. We were so impressed that we are planning our return visit. Thank you to everyone on the staff who made our short stay a memorable one.

Location is convenient to many good restaurants and shops. Fitness center was clean and well stocked with towels and had free weights and 2 aerobic machines. Room was large with a mini kitchen and a nice automatic gas fireplace. The bedroom and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was small and had a tub with shower head. Would prefer a walk in shower. Negatives: $30 mandatory parking fee in summer that goes to $60 in winter. Too many texts to my cellphone!! Several were inviting us to dine in their restaurant, but that restaurant was closed the night of our arrival!!

Our entire stay has been great. We were able to check in a little early upon arrival. We were greeted with Champaign. The room was great. It was a King Suite and had a separate living room with fireplace. There was wine, hot chocolate, and s’mores every afternoon. That was a great touch. The location was perfect. It was a 3 minute walk to skiing, shops, and restaurants. The staff was great as well.

We are departing tomorrow but wanted to post asap in the case anyone is seeking lodging over Memorial Day. This hotel in insanely nice. But beyond that the staff is incredible. Came here from Texas for our Anniversary / 5 nights. The staff was so considerate with welcome gifts for our anniversary - well beyond a simple box of chocolates. The Antlers Restaurant was very good and breakfast was extremely good. The hotel is attached to the Beaver Creek Complex so simply drop your car and everything is within walking distance. Again from the management to the cleaning staff everyone was so gracious and helpful. Marriott did well on this Autograph resort.
Response from Property: Mr. Lowney, Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience at the Beaver Creek Lodge. Congratulations on your Anniversary and we look forward to your next visit. Paul A. Jeppson, General Manager

Very comfortable and quiet hotel. Walking distance to ski lifts. Hotel rooms are set up with a small living area with couch, wet bar and separate bedroom. Maid service is very good. We also used the hot tub, steam room and sauna. Facilities are very clean. We will definitely stay at this property again.
