We arrived at the hotel after 9pm on the 19th. I have to say that the guy at the front desk was very patient. Thanks to him for reminding us to make an appointment for the flag-raising ceremony the next day, otherwise we might have missed it. The room was very spacious, very comfortable and full of character. (Thanks to my brother for upgrading us). The hotel's breakfast still has some room for improvement. It is recommended that the chef wear a mask. For someone like me with occupational diseases, it is indeed a bit uncomfortable not to wear a mask.

The service was okay but when we checked in they asked to see our travel log history in which we showed them but they opened up a previous customers travel history and they were worried that we had been to Shandong province but in fact they just hadn’t checked the Chinese persons travel history and they were being overly cautious because we were foreigners. We have been in Beijing for months. They also gave our room to someone else but kindly gave us a lovely upgrade to the executive apartments. The breakfast was quite disappointing the pastries were dry with a hot lamp above them and there was no flavour but a lot of variety for Chinese breakfast style food if that’s what you’re into. I wouldn’t call this a international breakfast. The waitress in the breakfast lobby kindly found us some room temperature water because they only had hot water at the buffet. Because of the location we really enjoyed our stay but we probably will not go again. The amenities were alright but for such a lovely big bath tub there was only one small bottle of body wash which only lasted one tub use and then we couldn’t have a shower or go in the tub again because there was only one bottle between the both of us. I wouldn’t say not to recommend this hotel, it would be very good for people on business trips and big families but I wouldn’t recommend it for couples. Of the five hotels we have stayed in within Beijing, this hotel is ranked last.

Very good service, feels like home. The hotel closest to Tiananmen Square is very convenient for watching the flag raising. Just go half an hour early. You don’t have to be tired to visit Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, etc. The transportation is very convenient and the experience is great. I only asked for a birthday decoration when I checked in, but unexpectedly the hotel unexpectedly gave me a surprise birthday cake in the evening. Our room faced Tiananmen Square, and outside the room was the Forbidden City and Chang'an Street. It was a beautiful view. Breakfast is full of Iberian ham, braised beef noodles and eggs Benedict are also full of sincerity. The hotel's ice cream and Buddha Jumping over the Wall are also delicious. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Beijing's Tiananmen Square. Every service staff is really nice. I commend Huang Yang of the front office by name and introduce him to the young man who is enthusiastic, generous and comprehensive. Please come on and stay as an intern.

Everything in regards to our stay at the Grand Hyatt was 6* except for the WiFi which wasn't of international standards. Location was spot on a central network linked to the mall with major big brands Which is linked to the 1st class train system. It's also 30mins walk to the Forbidden city. And the gym 🏋️♀️ and Pool and Spa was simply immaculate and luxurious first class with a heated pool oasis. Wished I could have spent more time enjoying the facilities. And what complimented well to the global luxurious brand was it's staff members! I have to call out the exceptional 2 departments Conceige and Housekeeping which was truly above and beyond!!! Daniel -assisted with restaurant bookings and forbidden City tickets reservations. And when he was off duty he still wechat me to suggest how to maximise the use of our tickets and best way to maximise time to visit Tianamen Square too and tips too on best way all this while he was off duty! Such dedication!!! Another staff whom I like to recognise is Cecila also from Conceige. When asked for directions on day 1, she didn't just verbalise, she left her station and ushered us all the way outside and showed us the right way around to our breakfast destination. On day 2, which is also check out day, she realised its J birthday and made arrangments for not 1 but 2 bakes so that our dearest friends could enjoy together too. She also kept in touch on wechat to organise all our logistical arrangments several times. Each time with a 😃 smile. Outstanding! Housekeeping lady for rooms 1221 and 1220 was simple though and detailed and went above and beyond too. So much personal touch to all that she did which most would never bother! Good job!! And best of all, she didn't expect anything in return. Absolutely admirable! Unsung hero! Check in staff Allan was pleasant and swift with our late check in and made our final day breakfast logistics seamless. Thank you and thanks for responding efficiently on wechat too. Con- WiFi sucks badly.....surprised that a 5* global brand couldn't keep u to. Chengdu 4* service Residence. So frustrating for global travellers like ourselves. A very warm and satisfying stay experience. It was very cold this weekend but we felt warm and happy, especially with a baby. Because the baby likes duck elements, we informed the relevant hotel staff in advance and the hotel helped prepare little yellow duck balloons for the baby. I was very happy when I checked in and kept saying that I would come back next time. The hotel took great pains to arrange the baby's sugar control request. The exquisite snacks prepared were specially prepared to reduce sugar. It was great. I took my baby to the hospital today because I was not sure whether I would be able to come back at noon. The staff at the hotel were fantastic. They were friendly, helpful and accommodating. There was warm water and hot drinks to welcome us back to the hotel everyday. Highlight was the self service cotton candy machine and the rooftop with views of Forbidden City. Buffet breakfast spread was also very good. It is about 5-10mins walk away from the main Wangfujing shopping street, but still very convenient. Definitely made our first trip to Beijing with young kids a very comfortable one.
