The hostel is in a good location at the 798 art zone. The bed is comfy and it has a curtain. Also the room is quite clean. Although the toilets sometimes smell a little bad and I find it quite annoying that they’re not equipped with toilet paper and you have to take some before going in.

Comfortable clean beds, complimentary toothbrush and slippers. Helpful staff despite the language barrier. Bathroom/toilet could improve though as it seems a pattern in most hostels that these are messy, people walk with wet marks all over floor / design of bathroom is just a long tow of 15-20 rooms with narrow walkway, no mats.This is good location at art district. Tuofangying station is slightly closer than gaojiayuan station to this hostel but branch is called mijia gaojiayuan branch, so recommend walking to the other station for shorter distance.

It's a big hostel. It works professionally.
There was a group of several members dedicated for cleaning.
Whenever I was in the hostel in the morning or in the afternoon there was something cleaning somewhere.
The staff was friendly. You get a pair of slippers and a toothbrush with a small toothpaste when you check in.
The bed was box style so there was a curtain to give you little privacy. You have socket for recharge, a little lamp, little shelfs, a little cabinet and hangers.
There were three water purificators, a big one in the common room and two small ones, there was even a kettle for boil the water on a table in the room.
There was a microwave in the common room.
There was a terrace in front of the hostel.
There were air-conditioning in the room and larger cupboards.
The toilet paper was provided from a central distributor in the bathroom.
The shampoo and liquid soap were also provided.
It takes about 45 min, an hour to go in the city center including the walking from the hostel to the metro station.
There was a supermarket close to the hostel. Little restaurants were available there too.
The area is an art district. I have a different post about it.
The internet didn't work properly in a few evenings so if you have important things to do the morning hours are better.

The hostel is nice, the rooms are nice you just need to have good roommates. The toilets and shower are not very clean at night but its not something huge, and in day its clean. You have a part where you can work or chill at the entrance. The location is a little bit far from Beijing center. I had a good stay l will comeback here if i stay in Beijing again.

Absolutely disgusting bathrooms. Human waste, dirty floors, lack of toilet paper, seemingly apathetic front desk staff to cleanliness. Rooms were clean enough, although there were no rugs to dry your feet from the disgusting bathroom floors, so floors become dirty quickly. Rather far from nearest subway station. Beds themselves were very clean and hygienic.

2 out of 3 days I stay there the toilet paper is done but they don't refill, the bathroom is quite smelly and not very clean, they have squat toilet
They give you slippers but it can't be use to go to take a bath and the cleaner took mine right away, what should I do? Keep them lock up?

If you're planning to visit the art district, you might want to consider staying here. However, be aware that the bathroom facilities may be challenging for Western visitors. The staff was attentive and even stored my belongings at the front desk for safekeeping. That said, the rooms don’t have lockers with padlocks, which could be risky—especially if you’re leaving a bag with all your belongings in a foreign country

The staff are very nice, from the front desk, to the cleaning staff and the hostel is situated in a great area, the 798 art district. I stayed here for 17 days and had no issues. I would highly recommend staying here and I will return if I need a place to stay in Beijing.
