The first room I was given had a very small window, and the moment I walked in, there was a strong, unpleasant odor coming from the room, the mattress, and even the furniture. I initially thought it might be due to the room being closed for too long, so I tried to ventilate it, but the smell persisted and didn’t improve. The window was behind the main door on the right side and the entire room was on the extreme left side - there was no way of air circulation.
I requested a room change, and while the second room had a larger window, the same smell was present, and the mattress was extremely hard - almost like sleeping on a rock. It was uncomfortable to the point where I couldn’t sleep at all.
Due to the poor conditions, I checked out the same night and moved to another hotel right across the street—Homeinn Selected Hotel , which was significantly better in terms of cleanliness, comfort, and overall environment.
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone!!! Despite of being in the best cultural street of Beijing, it was horrible!
