Beijing Meilin Garden Hotel (Zizhuqiao Wanshou Temple Subway Station)

The location is really convenient, and the room is spacious. Plus, it's very close to public transportation.

Excellent service at the front desk. When my child needed an extra lamp for studying, the staff were very helpful in finding one for us. On our last day, they graciously accommodated our request for a late check-out until 3 PM. The surroundings were quiet and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity.

This is my second time staying at this hotel for a business trip to Beijing. The front desk staff, Xiao Dong and Xiao Pei, were incredibly warm, polite, and provided excellent service. The entire property was exceptionally clean. My room was very spacious and quiet, and they even offered a choice of soft and firm pillows. It's conveniently located about 1 km from Metro Line 16, just an easy walk away.

Xiao Hao and the team were absolutely wonderful. We had a perfect stay.

The hotel is a bit tricky to find on foot, as you have to cut through a residential area. The bed creaks quite loudly, especially if you're on the larger side and turn over. Soundproofing is mediocre, with constant noise from kids playing on the downstairs sports court during the day. On the positive side, the facilities are quite new and comprehensive, and the hotel prominently features Inner Mongolian characteristics. There's also a specialty restaurant right in the hotel. It's convenient for exploring the surrounding area, and Zizhu Park is quite close by.

Excellent value for money. My only suggestion would be for the suite to also offer a king-size bed. The location is fantastic, very close to the Summer Palace, Wanshousi Metro Station, and the Beijing Art Museum. Breakfast is provided by the hotel in the mornings. If you prefer to eat outside, simply walk east along the river. At the end, head up and turn south, and you'll find a Xisi Baozi (steamed bun) shop. Their tofu pudding and steamed buns are delicious. Downstairs from the hotel, there are many Mongolian restaurants with private rooms. I'll definitely give them a try next time. The registration process is quite straightforward, but please make sure to complete it as soon as you check in. Also, please ensure all foreign passports are handed over. The last thing you want is to be constantly chased by phone calls from everyone trying to double-check your identity. Even if you already have your visa, they'll still want to confirm who you are. And if I'm not who I am, then who else could I be? (This is rather silly and unnecessary, but as the saying goes, 'when in Rome, do as the Romans do'). This is truly an excellent hidden gem of a hotel. I initially stayed alone in a deluxe king room and found it quite spacious and impressive. When my family joined me later, we switched to a suite, which was a delightful surprise. The living room was expansive, and both the master and secondary bedrooms were generously sized, genuinely making us feel at home. It was immaculately clean, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. It's also a fantastic option for hosting friends for tea and conversation. Perfect for both business travel and family vacations. Excellent value for money, highly recommend!
