Excellent value for money. My only suggestion would be for the suite to also offer a king-size bed. The location is fantastic, very close to the Summer Palace, Wanshousi Metro Station, and the Beijing Art Museum. Breakfast is provided by the hotel in the mornings. If you prefer to eat outside, simply walk east along the river. At the end, head up and turn south, and you'll find a Xisi Baozi (steamed bun) shop. Their tofu pudding and steamed buns are delicious. Downstairs from the hotel, there are many Mongolian restaurants with private rooms. I'll definitely give them a try next time. The registration process is quite straightforward, but please make sure to complete it as soon as you check in. Also, please ensure all foreign passports are handed over. The last thing you want is to be constantly chased by phone calls from everyone trying to double-check your identity. Even if you already have your visa, they'll still want to confirm who you are. And if I'm not who I am, then who else could I be? (This is rather silly and unnecessary, but as the saying goes, 'when in Rome, do as the Romans do'). Just do as you're told, and everything will be fine. Cheers! Wishing you all the best of luck.
