We stayed at the hotel for six nights, and our overall experience was mixed. First of all, the location is excellent, as it’s just a stone's throw away from the most popular shopping street in Beijing, making it very convenient for getting around and enjoying the city. The hotel itself is impressive with its modern facilities and fully automated systems, providing a cutting-edge technological experience, from door access to room service.
However, there were some downsides that could be improved. The room was quite small, which limited comfort, and the view from the first-floor window was disappointing, as instead of seeing the city or a nice landscape, we were greeted by air conditioning pipes – something that definitely detracted from the overall ambiance of our stay.
The staff was friendly and made earnest efforts to assist, despite not speaking English, which did cause some communication difficulties. Nevertheless, their willingness to help was clear and appreciated. Another major drawback was the WiFi. Although it was offered for free, we were never able to get it working, which was especially frustrating when we needed to organize our transportation or stay connected with friends and colleagues.
Overall, our experience was satisfactory but with room for improvement in some key areas. If you prioritize location and don't mind small rooms, this could be a good option – just don’t rely too much on the WiFi or expect a great view from your window.
