99inn Selected (Beijing Guangqumennei)

The room was clean, and having a private bathroom was quite convenient. There's also a public restroom not far downstairs. It's pretty close to the Temple of Heaven Park. The only minor flaw is that there isn't a shelf above the bed.

Before checking in, I noticed a sign that said 'Gong Sheng Hotel Group' at the entrance, which means it's affiliated with 99 Chain Hotels. According to the guy at the front desk, this used to be a 99 Chain Hotel and they just changed the sign. I initially thought a chain hotel offering bunk beds would be more standardized and professional. To my surprise, after getting my room card and entering, I couldn't even figure out where my bed was! The room, already small for an economy hotel, had one set of bunk beds standing alone on one side. The other three sets were arranged in a 'T' shape [two back-to-back, and one tightly against the side]. Beds 7 and 8 were by the window, facing the door, and the aisle was only wide enough for one person... It turns out that this brand-name chain is worse than some independent places when it comes to basic standards; they crammed 8 beds into a tiny room. Of course, they do have one unique feature: a pile of Nongfu Spring bottled water at the entrance, priced at 1 yuan per bottle. You just scan and take it yourself. Very casual.

The bed was very soft, and it was very convenient to get around; the subway station was just a three- or four-minute walk away. There was plenty of hot water for showering, and a fruit shop was downstairs. The surrounding area consisted of residential complexes, and I saw many students going to school in the mornings. They walk all day long, returning very late, so the soft bed, ample hot water, and proximity to the subway were fantastic. We didn't hear any noise from next door, perhaps because no one was living there, or maybe everyone was just very considerate.

The location is excellent, close to Tiananmen Square, and worth checking out. It's suitable for solo travelers or backpackers. It's convenient for relaxing, washing up, and charging your devices. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and it's a 5-minute walk to the subway station.

Cleanliness: The landlord cleans daily; the beds are very clean, and the bedding is newly changed. Service: The landlord is very nice and approachable. Environment: Very clean, close to the subway station, very convenient for transportation. Facilities: Hair dryer, air conditioning, and hot showers are available.

The room was clean and tidy. Although it was a bit small, it was fully equipped with many electrical outlets for easy charging. The only downside was the poor soundproofing; you could hear people talking in the next room.
