Wohkoon Traveling Sun Hostel (Beijing Drum Tower Shichahai Metro Station Store)

My business trip stay at this Shichahai hostel far exceeded my expectations. The location is a huge plus, being close to the subway, making it super convenient for sightseeing and finding food. The room was thoroughly cleaned, the bed was dry and tidy, and the washroom was spotless. The staff provided attentive and meticulous service, and the check-in and check-out processes were efficient. The price is affordable, and the facilities are comprehensive, making it suitable for both tourists and those on short-term business. Highly recommended!

On a business trip to Beijing, the front desk service at this hotel was excellent. They have communal areas, washing machines, and hairdryers. Most importantly, it's great value for money. The location is just outside Shichahai Station Exit A on Line 8. The only downside is that it's a bit of a winding walk to get there, but after staying one night, I realized the location is actually fantastic.

The hotel is very close to the subway station, tucked away in the alley right behind it. There's also a Gulou bus stop next to the subway station, so you can easily take a bus directly back from the Forbidden City. If you're coming by subway, take Exit C – it has an elevator and you don't even have to cross the street! Don't listen to navigation telling you to take Exit A, as that involves a long detour and crossing the road! The location is very central, making it super convenient for visiting attractions around the Tiananmen area. You can see the Drum Tower right when you exit the subway, and lots of people gather there to photograph the sunset in the evening.

Great location, very convenient for transport. The room was cleaned daily. The only downside is that the decor and facilities are a bit dated, but otherwise everything else was good. It's only a 3-minute walk to Shichahai subway station.

Great location with convenient transportation, right next to Gulou and Nanluoguxiang, and very close to the First Hospital. Excellent value for money!

The most delightful discovery on my trip to Beijing was the Zhexingsun Youth Hostel Shichahai Branch! Its location is absolutely superb, tucked away in an old Beijing hutong, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. It's just a 5-minute walk to Shichahai subway station, and super close to Houhai, Gulou, and Nanluoguxiang. You won't have to go out of your way to visit attractions or grab a bite. The hostel itself is clean and tidy, with a simple yet cozy decor. The Japanese-style tatami common area is very comfortable, perfect for relaxing or even some light work. While the bunk bed space is compact, the bedding is clean and soft, and the 24-hour hot water and air conditioning are reliable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The public facilities are incredibly comprehensive; there are free washing machines, water dispensers, and hair dryers, so you don't need to pack extra, making your trip super hassle-free. The service is exceptionally thoughtful; the front desk staff are warm and efficient, responding quickly to any needs, and they even offer free luggage storage. Overall, it offers fantastic value for money, making it ideal whether you're traveling solo or with friends. To truly experience the authentic old Beijing hutong atmosphere, staying here is an absolute no-brainer. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Beijing!
