Manxin Hotel Beijing Tiananmen Wangfujing

This is my second stay at Manxin. The location is unbeatable – it's a 5-minute walk to the Line 8 subway station, and right next door to Siji Minfu. Wangfujing is also very close by. The room was quiet, and takeaways can be delivered right to your door by a robot.

I booked this hotel for its convenient location, and it certainly didn't disappoint! There's a bus stop right outside, and the subway entrance is only about 100-200 meters away. Plus, it's next to Tong Ren Tang and super close to the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park. The service was also incredibly warm; they even brought me a hot chrysanthemum tea when I came back from a concert, which was so thoughtful! The breakfast was delicious, and I especially loved their flavorful cold dishes. Unfortunately, the TV had no signal due to a wiring issue, and I accidentally booked a room without a window, ugh! Oh, and they gave me some small pastries when I checked out, which was a nice surprise!

Traveling alone, my priorities are convenience, cleanliness, and safety. The room was very clean overall, and the location was super convenient. It's just a few minutes' walk to Jinyu Hutong Subway Station, where you can catch Line 8. The Forbidden City is within walking distance, and the Wangfujing commercial district is right next door. Very handy! The hotel staff were also very welcoming and friendly.

Came for a concert and after looking at many places, I chose Manxin Hotel on Jinyu Hutong. It turned out to be an excellent choice in terms of location, surrounding amenities, and hotel service. When you exit Metro C with luggage, you can take the elevator directly from the food court under Wangfujing Center to ground level, so you don't have to carry your luggage up stairs. Turn right on the street, and it's a 3-minute walk to the hotel. To the right of the hotel entrance are Siji Minfu and Grandpa Don't Steep Tea. Guests can ask the lobby staff to help them get a number in advance, which is super convenient. Further down, there's Fangzhuan Factory Zhajiangmian, and the famous Gege makeup studio at Wangfu Century. Across the street, there's a 7-Eleven. Right next to the subway station is Wangfujing Pedestrian Street. This location is absolutely fantastic! The hotel is standalone, unlike other hotels I've stayed at in Beijing that share a lobby with other establishments. Check-in was quick, and staff helped with my luggage. The room was very clean and had no strange odors. When I returned in the evening, the cleaning lady had left a note saying she had wiped my suitcase, which I really appreciated. However, I wasn't informed at check-in that the room card would deactivate at 12 PM on the day of check-out. So, even though I had a late check-out, I was locked out when I returned after 12 PM. Luckily, a cleaning lady nearby verified my information and helped me open the door. Other than that, I was very satisfied with this trip and experienced Beijing's hospitality, even though the weather was really hot. Next time I come to Beijing, I'll likely choose this place again; it's convenient for getting everywhere.

Special thanks to the cleaning lady who, on my first day, wiped down all my luggage and left a thoughtful little card. The front desk staff were also very welcoming, and even gave me a souvenir upon checkout. The room facilities are complete. Hygiene: Clean. Environment: Quiet. Service: Enthusiastic.

The biggest highlight here is that the hotel can help you get a queue number for the neighboring Siji Minfu restaurant. You just need to tell the front desk roughly what time you plan to eat. The day before yesterday, they proactively upgraded our room to one with a window. Jinshi Hutong subway station is right next door, and there's a craft beer spot nearby. It's only two subway stops to the National Museum and Tiananmen Square. Walking from the hotel to the Meridian Gate of the Forbidden City takes about 15 minutes. After visiting the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park, a three-stop bus ride brings you right back to the hotel, making it super convenient to grab your luggage and head to your next destination. It's perfect for families with kids.

The location is fantastic! If you're planning to visit the Forbidden City, this is definitely the right choice as you can walk there directly. It's also very close to the subway station, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. After eating, you can even walk to Wangfujing shopping street. We had a minor issue with our room upon check-in, but the hotel staff were incredibly helpful and upgraded our room type.
