GuoYi hotel was founded in 1959. In 1962, it was assigned to the State Offices Administration. In 1984, it was renamed GuoYi Hotel. In 2003, it was first listed as the designated hotel for centralized procurement by the central government. In 2006, it was rated as a four-star hotel by Beijing Tourism Bureau.
