Having stayed in over 50 hostels, I’m quite confident in saying that this is one of the worst ones I’ve ever stayed in. The bathrooms in the dorms are disgusting. There is no hand wash in the entire place which is just unsanitary and foul, and they charge 10 yuan for a ‘towel’ which is just a hand towel. There is no communal area to sit as the terrace shown in the pictures is inaccessible, and if you try to sit in the lobby where they sell coffee, you are told you aren’t allowed to sit there. The location is ok if you are going to the forbidden city however, there is minimal dining options around. It also seems that many have left negative reviews, especially about the bathroom and lack of amenities, yet the hostel has not taken any of this advice on board, and replies with the exact same response to each of these reviews. This is by far the most expensive hostel I’ve stayed at in China, almost double the price, and it was very disappointing. I highly reccomend the Desti Youth hostels as an alternative to this place, they are all super clean, have good social areas, and include nice full size towels (unlike the one pictured) AND HAVE HAND SOAP (literally like so disgusting)

Very dirty and poorly maintained. Mold on the walls and an overall musty smell. The general condition of the facilities is disappointing. The mattress was practically non-existent The bathroom had no door, so all the moisture came into the room. There was a constant strange smell in the room. Only Chinese-style outlets available to charge your phone — no international or standard sockets. The reception staff were completely unhelpful. I asked for an extra blanket or pillow — even offered to pay for it — to make the bed more bearable, and they said they didn’t have any. But I could see they had extras stored in a back room and just refused to give them. Don’t stay here if you have even a little bit of self-respect.

The area is amazing , 5 months from the forbidden city. The street is very quiet. The hostel is not very welcoming. You need to work on your customers service skills. The bedsheets were cleaned, good pillows. The towels is barely useful as it’s very small, it’s more like a cloth then a towel. The bathroom and the rooms are really really small. But you get what you pay for. I stayed 3 nights and besides all that I had a really good rest.

Not so clean but good style. Ok for few days. No soap towel etc included.

Good location good bed room

Pros: Lockers were a large size and came with a key card to lock. Pods had a good curtain for privacy and the room was kept cool. Cons: Cleanliness was lacking, no soap and the toilet/showers were not clean. No door to separate the bathroom from the sleeping area. Front desk was not helpful with explaining anything when checking in, like the lack of common areas and how the one area that looks like a common area is actually a coffee shop you have to pay to use. Location was not that close to a subway and no food around other than one restaurant. Beds were not comfortable as the pad was quite thin.
