Atour Hotel, Changyingtian Street, Chaoyang North Road, Beijing

The room provided to us was right below the kitchen of the canteen on the 13rd floor. The loud noise woke us up at 4-5am in the first 2 night. After serious complain, hotel offered a switch to other room but asked us to come back in the middle of the day to pack. We asked if we can do it when we finish a day as we are TOURIST, their response was NO as they need to sell any room available, even if it is not suitable for human beings to live! Eventually we packed everything including wet clothes in the luggage for a whole day and then moved to another room on the 3rd night. They also offered us 3 day free breakfast as compensation. Hotel located quite far away from metro line #6 nearest station which will take you at least 20min to walk. We took taxi from metro to hotel every day and night as we didn't feel safe to walk at night. It was very dark and quiet. Everything morning, there were lots of old local people play with their grandchildren outside the gates of the hotel, just like playing at public playground. We don't know they actually use the facilities at the hotel loddy as if public utilities. Hotel cleaning ladies use sticky roll to "clean" floor, not vacuum. The fallen hair from us stayed on the same location for 3 days (the new room). There was a m&m chocolate left from previous guest under the bed and it continues to stay there for the 3 days while we were there. Toilet and bathroom shared the same door ( see Pic).if you close the door for shower, the other one better not to use toilet unless you want to show off yourself and don't want to wash hands after your jobs. Staff (those actually faced hotel guest) are very friendly and helpful. But the hotel management is very greedy and only focus on making the most money from every possibility. The first room allocated to us is not a live-able accommodation unless you want to wake up 4am every day in your Holiday. Location is not convenient for tourists (Information on website a bit misleading)

Great hotel, washing machine and laundry (very important if travelling with family is free and available) great service, variety of breakfast option, you need a translator/google apps to be understood by the receptionist if you cannot speak Chinese. Many shops within the area. An aura of a friendly local community. 10-20mins walking if taking the metro station. The taxi/didi car will not stop in front of the.hotel but along the main road, be prepared if you have many luggages.

This is one of the best hotels I stayed in during my visit to China. It is clean, tidy, and the staff are extremely helpful. The only down for this hotel that it is far away from the main attractions in Beijing. It will take you more than half an hour to reach the nearest one. However, restaurants and shopping malls are just around the corner. Definately recommend.

Was quite good experience in respects to cleanliness and overall experience

The check-in takes so long as there is long wait to get a couple of rooms when i arrive in the Evening. So bad in sound proofing even the building looks so new. Access to and from lifts lobby with a lot of turns, so you may get a few door bells from strangers.
