Staff were quite helpful with the reception being manned 24/7. Hotel is conveniently located right next to the Line 2 Dongzhimen Entrance (unfortunately closed when we stayed due to ongoing maintenance). Approximately a 25min walk to Sanlitun and a 17min car ride to the Forbidden City and surrounds including Tiananmen Square. Rooms were well maintained with daily make up; maybe it was due to us checking in at midnight but we ran into some issues such as the bathroom door not working properly, maintenance crew were able to remedy it at 1am. One of the rooms I booked didn’t get cleaned in time for our check in and we were able to change rooms the following morning with no additional charges. Overall quality of the hotel is good, hotel breakfast is the best option considering food options nearby are nearly 1km away (******* takeaway is possible too). On the morning of checkout, we checked out prior to breakfast being served and the hotel were kind enough to provide us takeaway breakfast to replace our breakfast tickets for the morning. Overall 4.5/5

A very satisfying accommodation experience. First of all, the location is very good. It is very convenient to travel. There are subway lines 2 and 13, and the Airport Express takes 25 minutes to the Capital Airport. The apartment is fully equipped and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. It is a pleasant place for friends to gather together to chat and drink tea. The service is very comfortable, the response speed is also very fast, the restaurant is spacious and bright, and the coffee is delicious. We booked this hotel for our friend’s bachelorette party. The location is right in the heart of Sanlitun, so you really can’t get a much better spot! 🤩 Only three of us slept in the room due to regulations, but the other 5 girls were able to check in as guests just for the party, and all went smoothly! The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean, and the staff was very accommodating. We had a bit of confusion with the details of our booking, and a manager named Athena helped us sort everything out so smoothly. She made us feel welcomed, calm, and made our stay super comfortable. Fresh fruit was sent up to our room, and they accommodated us with extra champagne glasses.🥂 CHAO is such a luxurious hotel, and Athena was especially helpful and made our stay perfect. Thank you, Athena, and thank you CHAO! 💕

We got an upgrade from a hotel room to an apartment with separate rooms, a huge living room, and a kitchen. What we love was the existence of a washing machine to keep our clothing clean. Nearby the hotel was the first Pizzahut store in China and we totally enjoyed having our breakfast and lunch there on some days. The only slight drawback was the proximity to the nearest metro station. As we visited during the winter month and there was no lift facility, we had to lug our luggage up the metro and walked about 20 minutes to get to the hotel. Thereafter, the staff shared with us that there is a bus stop near the hotel and we had been using the bus ever since there to escape from the cold. Overall a pleasant stay and recommended for family.

Super awesome hotel! The four-star rating is definitely a five-star standard. The facilities in the house are warm and luxurious, not to mention the breakfast. The location is also very good. There is the subway just outside the door. Ginza and Raffles are just a few steps away from the door. It is very convenient for eating and shopping. The only drawback is that the hotel's vehicle entrance is a little small. The lobby entrance is in the middle of the hotel's ground parking lot, and it is easy to pass by accidentally driving. But if you strictly follow the navigation, you’ll be fine.

The hotel location is good for subway connection for PEK Airport and Gubei Watertown bus station, esp you don't need to take subway during morning rush hour, just less than 10min walking distance. The superior room size is just nice for 2 persons with luggages put on the floor. Currently no buffet breakfast as the restaurant is doing reno. Take subway exit C at Dongzhimen Station and walk about 500m to the hotel. The hotel near Ginza Mall, we had lunch and dinner at 1star Michelin Chinese restaurant Cui Hua Lou, nice food with reasonable price. To visit Forbidden City, need to book in advance, if not, not allowed to purchase ticket on the same day. Send email to bookingticket@dpm.org.cn to make reservation then collect ticket later. To visit many attractions and take subway, need to show passport for verification. Do not bring spray sanitizer bottle, not allowed for security reason.

The front desk staff are always helpful. When we had problems with DiDi, a female staff used her own account to book the taxi and told me to just pay her back the amount the next day as the fare is not final till the end of the journey. They are generally so helpful that is important for visitors to China trying to figure out the system. The apartment is large and definitely sufficient for our family of 4 (couple with 2 teenage children). Heater in the bathroom takes a while to heat up but once it does you get hot water with very good pressure. Apartment is value for money. Its a short walk to the subway station but taxi is so convenient and very well priced that its not necessary to take subway.
