Dream Apartments - the Obel Building

Apartments were lovely but will never ever go again checked out 7 days ago still haven’t gotten my deposit back, I was not told about the deposit until I was checking in, I was told it was a preauthorisation and would get it a few days after I checked out upon checking out I was told it would be 2 weeks (by a different person) 7 days later no refund it’s January and bills have to be paid so I am not happy! I was also told I had to pay for parking upon check in again nothing on the website about this. A disgrace trying to get money out of people after they have already paid for their trip. Might I also add I emailed regarding the deposit 4 days ago And no one in dream apartments bothered to reply to my email I understand in retail it’s busy but 4 days later no reply what a joke I will never recommend this place to stay ever to anyone

DO NOT STAY HERE. FILTHY APARTMENTS...!!! Nothing like what is advertised on their website. The whole of the apartment was dirty and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly for a long time. You are not even staying in the big tower that is advertised, you stay in a building beside the Opel tower which is smaller. On arrival the apartment felt spacious, definitely enough for our needs. At a closer look, the rooms were all dirty, thick with black dust. I'm saying black because it was months of dust. No way the amount of dust we saw was a few weeks old which still would have been bad. The floor was sticky in parts so immediately, it told us that it hadn't been mopped. There are no curtains just blinds with a lot of stains on them (they're white) and a lot of them are broken so not the greatest if you're wanting privacy. The fridge/freezer was not the cleanest. My friend asked in the nicest possible way if she could borrow a mop and bucket to mop the floor because there was a few spillages and in some parts the floor was sticky. It obviously hit a nerve because the looks she received after that were so unprofessional. They told her they would do it when we were going out. Did they? Of course, not. After that apart from two other receptionist who were not present at the time of my friend asking for a mop, we never got a smile or hello from the staff. They walked past us as if we were not there. When we were out disinfectant wipes were bought so we could clean the apartment as much as we could with the wipes we had. The sponge for the dishes they provided was so filthy and disgusting so I used a wipe to wash the dishes thereafter. My friend washed every single cutlery, glasses, cups, oven tray etc... even after that, I tried not to use them because it still put me off. I never took my shoes off once unless I was getting in the shower or bed. My friend's socks were absolutely black with dirt. We actually went to Primark to buy pillow cases. As much as the bedding looked clean, I still did not feel positive they were and felt so uncomfortable putting my head/face on the pillow. I actually felt more comfortable with a brand new, unwashed pillow case bought from Primark than I did with theirs. That's saying something. There is no brush or mop/bucket provided in the apartments. That would be ok if there was cleaners daily... they're isn't. So if you're there for a few days, of course spillages, crumbs etc will happen and you have nothing to brush anything up. The oven was dirty, not sure if it has ever had a deep clean. The pictures on their website show a beautiful, modern and clean apartment... THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU GET AT ALL. The location is great, that's the only positive feedback I can give on this place. There is a flyover opposite one side of the apartments. It is very noisy with cars from early in the morning until late at night. Definitely not good for light sleepers, especially. Just spent two days here..all I can say if you'd like to spend your time away from home in the most disgusting place ever..hair on the bed,removed sheets and mattress covered in poo and pee stains,not cleaned, rubbish lying piled high to the car park..no lights in bathroom..no blinds in bedroom so a hundred people working in the post office can watch you sleep..I'm originally from Belfast and this place is a complete shambles and an embarrassment to the city...no refund offered and offered to clean it on our last day when we don't sleep there again...advise everyone to stay away from this place

Awful place to stay, no reception and when I get there they ask for 100 deposit which I am still waiting returned to me one week later, I paid fully the booking fee and deposit as we were left standing g for hours and no key, he wanted us take screen shot of pro for deposit which I declined. Lots of us were on the street waiting and people just left as they were not getting appartments . Its a sham operation stay well clear of this bad managed bad dream appartments they should be called and also bad mannered .. unprofessional ******!

Why have the council in Belfast allowed this dump to carry on doing business. tried to say I had not paid in full. Tried to get us to move elsewhere as the rooms were requiring maintenance. (That was the only honest comment from them) Absolutely awful attitude from the 'manager' she called herself, at the desk. Booked to stay at 62 Donegal Quay..but no these are for residents apparently and you must stay in No.64 which is a dump.
