The Avenue Belfast

The owner was lovely and let us in early. However, we found our stay unpleasant. Unfortunately bed was incredibly uncomfortable with one side being significantly worse than the other, which is difficult when two people are sharing a bed. The window was left open to let air in however, it was near the smoking area and on numerous occasions we woke to the smell of cigarette smoke. We didn't realise the airport was near and noise was an issue. The set up of the accommodation is not sound proof and we could hear showers running, people going up and down stairs and conversions sometimes felt as if they were coming through the door which was a little unnerving. There was only one key to get into the building and it was just tough if someone else took it. Room was budget friendly and very basic if that's what your looking for. Communal area was good. Parking was free and the city centre is about a 20 minute walk.

I had to book for three nights over two separate bookings meaning we had to move to another room after the first night, our first night we were booked into a bigger room with private bathroom. So that it wasn't so inconvenient for us the host pulled out all the stops to ensure we could stay in the same room for the entire stay, we were very grateful for that and we had a great stay, thank you :-)
