The Merchant Hotel

We booked a spring deal, which included breakfast and a bottle of prosecco.We chose the art deco room, which was nice, and the bathroom was huge,beds very cosy.Breakfast was OK,the dining room architecture is gorgeous.Parking is a little tricky.

Excellent boutique hotel with exceptional service. Great location although it could get noisy from music from nearby pubs. I would go back again.

Good location for walking around Belfast city with a helpful and courteous team supporting guests. The building is beautiful and our room was very nice however the noise level from the pub across the road was intense and continued until the early hours. Breakfast was a mixed bag - some elements were very good and others having definite room for improvement. Overall we enjoyed Belfast but The Merchant given its high price tag just didn't live up to our expectations.

Another wonderful 2 night stay in this fabulous Hotel which is so conveniently situated close to the City Centre for shopping, bars and a fantastic choice of excellent restaurants. Beautiful Art Deco room. Really spacious with a lovely lounge area. Also,a huge bathroom containing a bath and large shower. The staff are all so warm and friendly and make us feel so welcome. The meal in Bert's Jazz Bar was outstanding and the music from the Swamptones was really enjoyable which added to an excellent atmosphere and a great experience. We have stayed many times in this Hotel and will definitely return soon.

My sister, my friend and I recently stayed at The Merchant Hotel for one night, booking the Art Deco twin double room. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to our expectations. The room itself was quite tired and nothing particularly special, especially considering the price point. We had lunch in the bar, but the food was disappointing and below what we would expect from a hotel of this standard. On a positive note, when we phoned down for taxis and room service, these requests were handled efficiently. The hotel’s central location is convenient; however, it also meant there was significant noise throughout the night from outside, along with constant bedroom doors opening and closing. As a result, we didn’t get a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was similarly underwhelming, with a limited menu and nothing that stood out. Overall, what we had hoped would be a lovely, five-star experience simply didn’t meet expectations. Sadly, we wouldn’t return or recommend it.

Fabulous experience with an amazing upgrade to the CSLewis suite!! The staff are all magnificent and all services are so professional and discreet Obviously such detail within the initial staff training process. Best hotel in Belfast! Thank you so much and we cant wait to return
